Jenna Ortega appears alongside Thing in a new video for Wednesday season 2. Ortega plays the titular Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series, the first season of which became an instant hit upon its 2022 release. Wednesday Season 2 is in development and scheduled for release in 2025. In addition to Ortega, Season 2 features a main cast including Emma Myers, Moosa Mostafa, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fred Armisen, Thandiwe Newton, Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Christopher Lloyd, Haley Joel Osment, Noah Taylor and Heather Matarazzo.
Now, Netflix has revealed a new video from Wednesday 2nd season.
The video starts with text on the screen that says “Wednesday reads you a bedtime story“Said bedtime story features the stern teenage protagonist reading a pathology report. Said report includes the body of a 35-year-old man who has suffered three stab wounds. As Wednesday continues his recitation in his signature monotone, the scene shifts to some strange music and cuts to Thing. The clip ends with Wednesday saying “sweet nightmares, Thing.”

About that Wednesday The clip does very little in terms of plot reveals for season two, but it does hint at locations featured in upcoming episodes. First, Wednesday is portrayed in the Nevermore Academy uniform, which further confirms that Nevermore will be the protagonist of season 2, as presented in the first episode. Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital is where Tyler Galpin is transported to in Wednesday end of season 1. Wednesday Season 2 Is Bringing Back Key Elements
That Wednesday the season 2 video is a good sign for season two. It shows Ortega’s performance infusing all the classic Wednesday inflections that caught his attention and earned him an Emmy for Season 1. Also features Thing, a character from the original Addams Family story that also plays a key role in the Netflix show. The black and white color scheme is a good way to pay homage to the original series, although it doesn’t necessarily indicate that this style will come into play in Season 2, but the season may feature some black and white segments.
