Our Take on Hurry Up Tomorrow Casting Keoghan and Ortega
Adding Keoghan and Ortega to the cast of Hurry up tomorrow It's exciting, but I'm still not completely sold on the project. They are undoubtedly talented actors, but similar optics preceded The idol. The series starred impressive talent including Lily-Rose Depp, Jennie Kim and Rachel Sennotbut that series didn't make it past the first season, with some reports even indicating that The Weeknd pushed for a creative overhaul that led to its critical review.
Hurry up tomorrow already boasts an impressive cast with Keoghan and Ortega in contention, but that means very little if the material isn't right. This happened in The idol, where great performances and stunning visuals were marred by lackluster writing and seemingly aimless provocations. Hurry up tomorrow is still in its early stages, so while the casting announcement is great news, Tesfaye and his creative team now have a responsibility to properly utilize the talent he has available.
