THE Wednesday series made a big announcement recently with the news of Wednesday 2nd season Lady Gaga’s casting creates many possibilities regarding future stories. THE Wednesday The cast has been expanded in preparation for its second season, which is currently filming and scheduled for release in 2025. Wednesday Season 2 will carry over story elements from its predecessor, as when we saw Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) leaving Nevernmore Academy for the summer, she received threatening text messages indicating that the current story is not over.
Wednesday The Season 1 finale sets up another unknown foe for Wednesday to face during Season 2. Tyler (Hunter Doohan) is in custody, but he could still turn into a Hyde, which will likely be a problem during season two. The fate of her master, Mrs. Thornhill (Christina Ricci), is unknown after Wednesday knocked her unconscious. Regarding Gaga, it would make sense for her to play Nevermore’s new director if Steve Buscemi’s character hadn’t been confirmed. as successor to Director Weems (Gwendoline Christie). This leaves one plausible possibility.
Jenna Ortega already mentioned how Wednesday should use Lady Gaga
The Wednesday leader previously hinted at a mentoring role for Gaga
After Lady Gaga recreated the famous Wednesday dancing on her TikTok, interest arose in her possibly becoming a part of the series in season 2. Varietywhen Ortega was asked about Gaga joining the cast during the 2023 Golden Globes, she said she felt Wednesday still needs a character who understands her: “If Lady Gaga was part of this, they would have to be two monsters who understand each other.”
Ortega suggests the possibility of Gaga taking on the role of a teacher who can understand her darkness.
Ortega suggests the possibility of Gaga taking on the role of a teacher who can understand her darkness. Additionally, Netflix’s iteration of Wednesday Addams still has a lot of room for character development and personal growth. If Wednesday had an adult in her life who could truly understand and relate to her in Nevermore, it would help her character development tremendously.
Wednesday Needs a New Mentor in Season 2
A new teacher is needed to take care of her
Ms. Thornhill was the Nevermore Academy teacher who acted as a mentor on Wednesday before her hidden motives and true identity were revealed — and her actions created a void that Gaga could fill. Although his role is currently unknown If Gaga became an outcast teacher and mentor-type figure, she would be a perfect match for the show’s deadpan star. While it would be fun to see Gaga as a new teacher at the magical Nevermore in her own right, she may also emerge as an authentic mentor on Wednesday.
With all the adults who have died, betrayed her, or simply don’t like her, Wednesday is currently without an important figure in her life outside of her family. To continue advancing his character development, Wednesday needs a new mentor, similar to Thornhill before his betrayal. Having Gaga in this type of role in Season 2 would fulfill Ortega’s wish and create a stable base for Wednesday to lean on in Nevermore from now on.
Having Lady Gaga as a mentor in Wednesday it makes sense within the story and behind the scenes. Ortega’s words ring true about Gaga as a person who often defends those “born different.” If Gaga became a character that Wednesday identified with because of her uniqueness, it would fit with the musician/actress’ personality and work well within the overall story. Having two monsters who understand each other now is a must for Wednesday 2nd season.
