Jeff's Winter Splash Festival is now live in Marvel Rivals, with a free Jeff costume and more rewards

'Tis the season to be Jeff the Land Shark in Marvel Rivalsas Jeff's Winter Splash Festival has officially begun. Jeff has made waves since the game's release earlier this month, being considered one of the title's cutest and most meme-worthy heroes. While some players can't get enough of the sweet and cuddly shark with feet, others think his ultimate might be a little broken.

The Winter Celebration event went live this morning and with it comes a plethora of free rewards, paid costumes, and more. Jeff the Land Shark is the center of attention throughout the event, How a limited-time 4v4 game mode brings the bubble-bursting apex predator to the forefront in a very different way than most players expected.

Although the Winter Celebration has just begun, the excitement surrounding the event is already there. The event trailer appeared three days ago, showing off the new costumes and Jeff in all his glory. The event is a bit shocking, as the 4v4 mode is actually just a Jeff versus Jeff mode. Players will be sent to the same map, YGGSGARD: Royal Palace, and will fight by spreading ice all over the map to decorate it.

The bar at the top of the screen shows a percentage and whichever Jeff team covers more of the map than the other takes home an epic victory. Although it may seem like a simple task, it is almost like playing Splatoonplayers will soon be thrilled by the constant sound of Jeff's ultimate ability around the map, never knowing if they will be the one swallowed up and spit out over the edge.

There are several rewards to be won throughout the event, but the most coveted is probably the free Jeff The Land Shark costume. The Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume can be obtained by completing milestones, and reaching each of these milestones also rewards players with gifts. There are plenty of other rewards to claim that aren't just centered around Jeff, but all appear to be paid costumes and sprays. Rocket Raccoon and Groot are part of the Best Winter Buds bundle that is currently available, which comes with one costume per hero, various sprays, emotes and nameplates.

This is the first event in Marvel Rivals since its release, and Jeff being the main character of the event is a true testament to how popular Predator of the Deep has become in such a short time. It will be interesting to see which heroes in Marvel Rivals has become more popular over time, but for now, players can take on four other Jeffs in the limited-time game mode and spit them off the map for another 19 days.
