Jeff the Land Shark had a rough start in life after being raised by MODOK (alongside several other “land sharks”), but was quickly rescued by Gwenpool and her fellow West Coast Avengers. After being adopted by the entire team and named an official member, Jeff began alternating between teammates. Gwenpool, Deadpool, Kate Bishop, and Elsa Bloodstone spent time as Jeff's caregiversbut he can take care of himself. For a little shark who can't talk and only technically has shark-related abilities, he managed to steal the Eye of Agamotto, bond with a symbiote, and create pseudo-Pym particles.

A team-up between Jeff and Captain Marvel's Flerken, Goose, could be exactly what the world has been waiting for.

Jeff's varied comic book history perfectly showcases his versatility. He is comfortable with many different characters, but can also carry his own story. Jeff has the intelligence to outwit Doctor Strange and the cunning enough to bond with and control a symbiote, as seen in his recent Venom War: It's Jeff Thompson and Gurihiru call. This is exactly the kind of scope needed for a universe as intrinsically connected as the MCU. While some of his friends from the comics already exist on screen, he's easy to adapt to even more characters. A team-up between Jeff and Captain Marvel's Flerken, Goose, could be exactly what the world has been waiting for.
