Jason Statham’s New Action Movie Mutiny Casts Villain With Citadel Star, Filming Is Also Wrapped In New Update

Riot announced its latest star at the end of filming for the film. Riot is an upcoming thriller starring action star Jason Statham. The film tells the story of Cole Reed, a man who must take responsibility for a crime he didn’t commit when his billionaire boss is murdered before his eyes. Entrenched in an international conspiracy, Cole is forced to go on the run. Statham stars as Cole Reed in Riotwith a supporting cast including Annabelle Wallis, Lee Charles, Jason Wong and Ben Cartwright.

Put Deadlineone of RiotThe latest stars have been announced as the film receives a major production upgrade. Roland Møller will play the main villain opposite to Statham’s protagonist in Riot. Also joining the film will be Adrian Lester and Arnas Fedaravicius. Other than the cast, no additional details about these new actors have been revealed. The report also states that Riot has already finished filming in the UK and Malta. The film does not yet have a release date.

While none of these three actors are as well-known as Statham, they bring an interesting background to the ensemble. Riot. Møller is most recently known for playing Anders Silje in the Prime Video series Citadelbut he also participated in films such as Atomic Blonde and The traveler. Lester also recently collaborated with Prime Video, contributing his talents to the epic fantasy series Renegade Nell earlier this year. Fedaravicius was recently cast in The White Lotus season 3 and also has credits that include Deadly Code and Shetland.

Although not a household name in the United States, Møller has had a successful career in Denmark. He won the Bodil Award for Best Actor for the 2015 film My landwhich is considered the country’s greatest cinematographic tribute. He was also nominated for a Bodil award for Northwest, A kidnappingand R. Riot will help further establish Møller’s international career and, in turn, Møller’s casting could attract a more international audience to the film.

As Riot ends its production on set, the biggest lingering question is when the film will be released. Statham has a busy schedule as he returns to work with The beekeeperDavid Ayer for 2025 film LevonBusiness as well as the upcoming 2026 film Fast X: Part 2. That didn’t seem to hurt Riotwhen the film finished shooting. With Statham being a big draw for the film, it’s likely that Riot will want to get through post-production as quickly as possible, which could lead to a release date as early as the end of next year.
