Critics panned the film, giving it a 27% Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences were much more favorable, giving it a 73% approval rating.
Despite what the critics say, Meg 2: The Trench managed to have success in streaming. According to Collider, Meg 2: The Trench reached no. 9 in the Prime Video top 10 this week after climbing the charts for a while. The film is available globally on Prime Video and also on Max in the United States.
