Below Deck The season 11 premiere introduced several new members of the franchise, including St. David’s new foreman, Jared Woodin. While Below Deck Season 11 was one of the most anticipated seasons of the series, many are nervous heading into the season after so many changes have occurred to the cornerstone of the franchise. Although Captain Lee Rosbach has been a part of the franchise for almost its entire run, Below Deck season 11 welcomes captain Kerry Titheradge. With a new captain and crew comes a whole new tone, and if crewmates like Jared are any indication, the new era of Below Deck should be a good one.
The cast, which includes returning chief steward Fraser Olender and deckhand Ben Willoughby, is made up mostly of new faces. Chef Anthony Iracane, stewardesses Cat Baugh, Xandi Olivier and Barbie Pascual, along with deckhands Kyle Stillie and Marie “Sunny” Marquis are joining the cast along with Jared and returning cast members. Although there is an entirely new cast to Below Deck In Season 11, business as usual will take place aboard the St. David as charter guests board the yacht for their voyages. What will Jared do in 2024?
Jared entered Below Deck season 11 as the foreman. From the start of the season, he was shaking as Jared continually made mistakes; even deckhand-turned-bosun Ben noticed the numerous mistakes Jared made earlier in the season. After much deliberation and the chances Captain Kerry gave him, he decided mid-season to release Jared. The former foreman was having a lot of family problems because he couldn’t get in touch with his daughter, who lived in Alaska. Jared’s mind was clearly elsewhere, and his resignation was very necessary for him and the boat.
As for what Jared has been up to since Below Deck season 11 in mid-2024, it’s actually unclear. Jared’s Instagram page is now private; however, Jared’s profile remains verified. He also has just over 1,600 followers on the platform. Jared also has a Threads account, but it is also private. His Thread account bio says he is a yacht captain and carpenterso it looks like he rose through the ranks. Other than that, Jared updated his fans a lot about what he has been up to in 2024.
Overall, Jared was a foreman in Below Deck at the wrong time in your life. If he came on the show maybe a year or two later, or even earlier, maybe Jared would have lasted longer in the season. Still, Jared leaving the ship was for the best and who knows, maybe Captain Kerry will give him a chance in a future season.
