Jamie Foxx’s relationship with the superhero genre could be taken to the next level in 2025 when the long-awaited King Spawn Movie finally sees the light of day. The reboot has been planned since 1998, after the commercial failure of the 1997 Chip Movie, and Foxx has been attached since Blumhouse took over the project in 2017. Spawn’s creator Todd Mcfarlane reiterated Foxx’s involvement to Screen Rant earlier this year, claiming that Foxx is still his guy. The project has since deepened in development, a huge win for fans of the character who have waited years for an update.

Despite the title of the project, the upcoming reboot simply does not adapt King Spawn comic flow.

Jamie Foxx has been committed to the project for over half a decade, and producers have reported that the movie is on track for release in 2025. If so, King Spawn Will join both Spider-Man movies and Project power Like Foxx’s superhero-related roles. Chip Tells the story of Al Simmons, who was dragged to Hell but given a new chance at new life and power as Spawn. Despite the title of the project, the upcoming reboot simply does not adapt King Spawn comic flow.
