James Gunn, co-president and CEO of DC Studios, spoke about what DC Universe’s debut project has to offer fans. Creature CommandsCreated by Gunn, it follows a team of non-humans assembled by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) as a replacement for Task Force X after Congress banned her from using a human team. In addition to Davis, the animated series features the voices of Frank Grillo, Sean Gunn, Steve Agee, Indira Varma, David Harbor, Anya Chalotra, Benjamin Byron Davis, Maria Bakalova and Alan Tudyk, among others.
Gunn shared a video on Threadsin which he asks the cast what they think is most special about the series. In the comments, a fan asked for Gunn’s response, to which he stated: “That we didn’t hold back in any way, especially emotionally, and because of the beauty and the performances.“
Creature Commandos is an animated television series that follows a team of supernatural beings, including a werewolf, a vampire and a gorgon, brought together by the government for high-risk missions. This unique group faces numerous challenges as it leverages its distinct capabilities to combat threats. The show offers a mix of action, horror and dark humor, set in a universe where classic monsters are reinvented as heroes.
