Jacob Elordi
He grew up acting in school plays in Australia before finding success in Hollywood, and his best films and television shows demonstrate that he has what it takes to carry a project on his shoulders. He only recently debuted as a professional actor, in 2018, with films in Australia and the United States, so his filmography isn't as extensive as some of his co-stars.
He may not have many acting credits to his name, but he has a good variety of credits. Elordi has appeared in teen comedies, biographical dramas, satires, and heartwarming dramas. Not all of his films have been his most successful, but they have provided springboards for his career, and his best film and TV roles provide a showcase for the kind of artist he is becoming.

However The kissing booth was discussed negatively by fans and critics of romantic comedies, it helped usher in the resurgence of teen romances, especially on Netflix. The film is an adaptation of a novel with Jacob Elordi starring as the male lead.
Elordi plays the older brother of Joey King's best friend. Although King's character has a slight crush on the boy everyone sees as a bad boy, she initially doesn't believe he could have feelings for her. The two grow closer, however, thanks to him realizing how much she's grown and a little help from a kissing booth at a school event.
For much of the film, they hit many of the teen romantic comedy tropes and hid their relationship from those around them. The film marks one of Elordi's best-known roles, though certainly not one of his most dramatically demanding. However, it demonstrates that he can carry a romantic comedy and that he can be effortlessly charming on screen.even though Elordi himself called them “ridiculous”.

However 2 hearts is inspired by a true story, is a mostly fictional account of events. It tells the story of two men who fall in love and go through serious illnesses during the film. It turns out that one of the men is actually narrating the story of how his organ ended up in the other's body after his death.
As The kissing booththe film demonstrates that Elordi can lead a romance, but this time, that romance is a drama rather than a comedy. The film was generally panned by critics, but Elordi's performance was not to blame. Many critics did not like the “twist” presented to reveal who was receiving whose organs.
That being said, 2 hearts it's certainly not as good a demonstration of Elordi's acting ability as other films on his resume. Just get over it The kissing booth because it gives him a little more drama to play withand he doesn't spend as much time in the film as a brooding or jealous teenager.

Oh, Canada is an interesting (fictional) examination of a filmmaker's career. Richard Gere plays the dying man whose former students want to make a documentary about his career. He, however, is not interested in talking about his film work, which he says he really fell into, but rather in confessing his sins one last time. He has repeatedly lied to, used, and discarded people in his life, and the documentary becomes his way of admitting this.
Jacob Elordi plays the younger version of Gere's character as he reminisces about the documentary. Eloridi would have had plenty of previous acting to study Gere's mannerisms and approach to characters, but he also manages to make the character his own.
Since most of the story is told from the point of view of Gere's character, it's difficult to know how reliable the narration actually is. After all, some of the information presented in the memoir is a little conflicting, but Elordi interprets everything clearly, allowing the audience to believe.

Deep Water (2022)
Like Charlie
Deepwater is an erotic thriller in the style Basic Instinct or What's underneath. At the center of the story is a couple, played by Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, who have reached the point in their relationship where they make an agreement. He looks the other way and focuses on his hobbies, while she can have lovers so she doesn't get bored with their lives. During the film, however, it becomes apparent that neither of them is truly happy with the arrangement.
While she wants her husband to pay attention to her, he gives in to jealousy, ending the lives of some of his lovers. Although the film is largely directed by Affleck and de Armas, Elordi plays one of those lovers. Their role is not prominent, but the couple is supported by supporting characters who move their story forward.
The film's tone and pacing have a lot in common with missing girland it's a hint of the direction Elordi's career could take in the future.

The Sweet East is very different from Elordi's other projects so far. It is a mostly satirical travel story which begins with a teenager on a field trip. When her life ends in danger, she is saved by an anarchist, and each chapter of her journey finds her meeting a new person who represents a segment of the American population, from violent racists to religious extremists to movie stars.
Elordi plays an actor who she crosses paths with in the film when she is “discovered” while trying to escape another dangerous situation. Although the two have a mild flirtation, their flirtation is interrupted by another danger.
Elordi's part in the film is relatively small, as there are a large number of characters that appear in the teenager's journey. The journey takes the audience into a satirical version of the American dream, which includes increasing levels of violence before it seems safe and begins the cycle again. Some may believe it relies more on shocking the audience than getting its point across, but it still creates a compelling narrative.

The Mortuary Collection (2019)
As Jake Matthews
The Mortuary Collection is actually a horror anthology. The film includes several segments of different horror stories, framed by a larger story. Elordi stars in the second segment as a 1960s college student who promotes sexual liberation and free condoms as a way to get women to sleep with him. After a one-night stand with a mysterious woman, however, he gets the surprise of his life.
The anthology has been praised for having consistently good stories throughout and takes a unique approach, setting its stories in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s before framing the anthology with a story set in the 80s.
Elordi's segment in the horror anthology is a commentary on the double standards associated with sexual liberation, as his character experiences everything a woman can experience after a one-night stand in a compressed timeline. It features an unnerving use of body horror that audiences may not be prepared for, and it's incredibly well done.

On fast horses premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024, so most audiences who have seen the film at the time of writing are film critics, not general cinephiles. As many of these critics have pointed out, the film was not initially marketed exactly as it was.
The story follows a husband and wife as they settle down after he returns from the Korean War. The entry of their younger brother into their lives shakes things up, but not in the way the marketing suggests. Initial descriptions of the film made it seem like there was a love triangle between these three characters. In fact, the younger brother (played by Elordi) develops a relationship with a man throughout the film, while the wife (Daisy Edgar-Jones) develops a relationship with a woman.
The film is an exploration of love in the LGBTQ+ world in a very different time. Critics who were able to see the film found it impressive. The Hollywood Reporter even praised Elordi's performance, calling the film:
…beautiful, moving and demands to be seen on the biggest screen possible. Elordi gives his best performance as Julius, showing his more sensitive and vulnerable side on the big screen, perhaps for the first time.

Sofia Coppola, Priscilla Presley
There have been a few films about Elvis Presley's life in recent years. Although the most famous of them is Austin Butler's take on the singer, Priscilla tells the story of the young woman who would marry Presley. This gives her a voice in the story and gives the audience a new point of view to understand.
The film follows Priscilla's first meeting with Elvis at age 14 (and he at 24) until their eventual separation. Elordi plays Elvis as a little darker than Butler, but also more human and less grandiose on stage. While it's been clear that he cares about Priscilla, it's also been clear that their growing fame and age difference isn't a great recipe for a relationship between them.
The quieter of the two Elvis films released in recent years, it received a series of nominations for awards from film festivals and critics associations. Cailee Spaeny also received the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice International Film Festival. Although Elordi may not have received as much recognition, the work of the two actors led by Sofia Coppola has been continually praised.
Marlow Stern Rolling Stone pointed out how perfectly suited Coppola was for this particular story:
You couldn't ask for a better person to tackle this material than Coppola, who is no stranger to portraying young female protagonists and the powerful men who like to keep them locked in gilded cages, be it the Park Hyatt Tokyo, the Chateau Marmont, the Palace of Versailles or Graceland. As the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola, she lived it and is uniquely equipped to show what it's like to put a great, flawed man on a pedestal only to have that pedestal break.

Although Elordi had already worked years before, Salt burn arrived in cinemas, Salt burn is the film that many consider to be the one that made critics sit up and take notice of Elordi outside of his teen dramas. Directed by Emerald Fennell, the film is inspired by gothic stories and tells a story of obsession and excess.
Barry Keoghan stars as Oliver, a university classmate of Elordi's Felix. Oliver becomes increasingly obsessed with Felix, although Felix is not fully aware of it. Felix, believing Oliver's stories of an unhappy past, invites Oliver to spend time at his family's estate. It is at the estate that Oliver's obsession becomes more evident and the family dynamics become tense as people begin to die.
BBC review called Elordi a “revelation” in the film, although the ensemble as a whole was praised for their chemistry and its ability to allow each member the chance to shine.

Euphoria It is Elordi's only television role to date and the project for which he is best known. Considering audiences have been able to see Elordi play the same character since 2019, it makes sense that it's the role most associated with him thus far. Euphoria It's also Elordi's best project.
The series, which follows a group of teenagers, revolves around Rue (Zendaya) and her struggle with addiction and the relationships in her life. All other characters in the series arise from their connection to her.
Elordi plays one of Rue's classmates, a football player who has abused his girlfriend in the past. Your own anger issues actually provide a mask for your deepest insecurities. Many may have initially dismissed Nate as an “angry jock” stereotype, but Elordi was able to make the character more complex than that.although Nate is beyond redemption at this point. The explosive and dramatic nature of the series means that Elordi has been able to showcase his skills regularly.
Although some of his film roles may be considered more prestigious, Euphoria and Jacob Elordithe best project so far. With his career steadily rising, it's very likely that another project will overtake him soon.
