Jack Reacher's weird spinoff book series would never work as a TV show

The Richer Franchise includes a quirky spin-off book series that would never work as a TV show. With its first two seasons, Amazon Richer was much more successful in adapting Lee Child's original Jack Richer Books like the Tom Cruise movies. Considering Richer Season 3's book choice and casting updates, it will also likely tread a similar path as its predecessors and present a satisfying adaptation of its source material. Like the life-struggle Richer universe continues to grow, it won't be long until it branches into spin-off shows.

As per reports, a Neagley spinoff series is already in development, which could eventually pave the way for other intriguing Richer Follow-ups. Interestingly, even though Lee Child never wrote anything official Jack Richer Spinoff books, he gave rights to several authors to write books set in the Jack Richer Universe. While some of these universe extensions have the potential to become decent TV shows, others are too weird to work in the live-action storytelling medium.

Why The Reacher Experiment Would Never Work As A TV Adaptation

His tone would not be in tandem with the Amazon show

The Jack Richer Franchise is known for featuring some over-the-top action sequences. Often, even the titular character achieves feats that stretch the suspension of disbelief too far. However, when it comes to the crime-solving aspects, settings, character beats and tension in the original Jack Richer stories, they seem fairly realistic and grounded. The Reacher ExperimentIn contrast, relies on a completely different approach by using a highly fictional and extraordinary sci-fi concept to drive its story.

...The Reacher ExperimentThe story setup is too far removed from the established tone and style of the original Reacher series.

Since Amazon RicherSo far, has only unfolded in fairly realistic scenarios without introducing fantastic elements, it would not make sense if it branches out into a spinoff that focuses on Jack Reacher's clone. As the Neagley spinoff series suggests, There is room for those Richer franchise to explore more diverse and imaginative stories through the eyes of other characters. however, The Reacher ExperimentThe story setup is too far removed from the established tone and style of the original Reacher series. It could still work as a standalone show but not as a direct extension of Reacher.
