It’s not just Kid Goku, Dragon Ball Daima is rewriting GT and proves how the new series can make Super Saiyan 4 Canon

Although the great comparison between Dragon Ball Daima and Dragon Ball GT is often framed around how Goku reverted to being a child, the biggest topic of discussion should be about the potential return of Super Saiyan 4. Despite the focus on young Goku’s exploits, recent episodes of Dragon Ball latest animes are proving this Daima is borrowing heavily from GT’s tradition, and the result could very well be the long-awaited canonization of Super Saiyan 4.

Regardless of how possible Super Saiyan 4’s appearance in Daima possible, there remains one important caveat that could effectively derail any possibility – the schedule. Dragon Ball Daima happens before Dragon Ball Superwhich has been going on for some time both in the anime and especially in the manga. The problem is that if Goku and Vegeta somehow found a way to transform during Daimaso they would definitely have harnessed this power at some point during Super. Dragon Ball’s Demon World Daima Could Give Goku the Chance to Become Super Saiyan 4

The unique qualities of the demonic world could make the beloved transformation possible

The key to making Super Saiyan 4 canon lies in the series’ new setting. The Third Demon World has already introduced new environmental factors that did not exist in any of the other worlds that Goku and company traveled to. The density of the air creates a unique phenomenon where Goku’s movements feel heavy and flying can drain a large amount of energy very quickly.

This therefore introduces the possibility that some other environmental variable in Dragon Ball Daima three demonic worlds could create some new type of chemical reaction in Saiyans that could cause them to transform in a different way – Super Saiyan 4. That is, the introduction of Super Saiyan 4 could be justified without appearing in Super due to the fact that Goku and company can only achieve this transformation unless they are in the Demon Worlds because the conditions required for transformation can only be met there.

While not officially confirmed, there is a theory that supports the claim that Super Saiyan forms can differ based on certain conditions. Super Saiyan 3 serves as an excellent example, as the only users who achieved this transformation did so in extreme situations. Goku has unlocked Super Saiyan 3 in the afterlife and Trunks and Goten can only transform when they fuse as Gotenks. About that, GT introduced the concept of Blutz Waves as a prerequisite for Super Saiyan 4, although Goku is the exception, and The Demon Worlds could issue your own special type of wave similar to Blutz.
