Is the Azurite Sea starter deck the best?

Disney Lorcana The latest set of Starter Decks offers players a Pirate and Inventor themed adventure, with lots of great cards from several iconic films. Of Treasure Planet to Big Hero Sixthe Azurite Sea Starter Decks are bringing lots of new and exciting cards to the table that fans will want to get their hands on. Some fan-favorite characters like Baymax and Jim Hawkins make appearances, as do some lesser-known people.

Of course, in both decks, the art is sublime. However, for those who can only afford one, or just want to start with a single deck, deciding between the two can be difficult. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, so it can be easy to choose the one with more popular characters. However, although both decks were highly rated, there is a clear winner among them, a winner that newcomers and returning fans alike will want to conquer.

Pros and cons of the Emerald/Sapphire deck

Has a lot of strategy, but can feel out of focus

THE Disney Lorcana Emerald/Sapphire Azurite Sea deck is about Inventors and items. There are several Inventor cards in the deck, each serving to buff the others while working synergistically with items and locations. The “Institute of Technology, Prestigious University” location card, for example, will give Inventors +1 Willpower, while also gaining a free knowledge if there is a character on it.

Its biggest strength is the various strategies players can use when combining Inventor cards with Items. “Hiro Hamada, Robotics Prodigy,” for example, can take an item from the deck and place it on top, allowing players to grab it immediately. Although there are some Azurite Sea best cards in Emerald/Sapphire decks, It’s the way all the cards, including the most cannon fodder characters, come together that makes it such a useful and powerful deck.

However, the biggest problem with Emerald/Sapphire Azurite Sea deck is that it is a little out of focus. There aren’t many items in the deck to execute the Inventor/item strategy effectively, so players rely excessively on specific character cards to make it work. Additionally, although the Emerald/Sapphire deck’s card list is filled with some impressive names from the Big Hero Six and Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers movies, it can sometimes look a little bloated. There are a lot of useless character cards that just don’t fit with the main theme of the deck.

That being said, there are some that have their uses. For example, “Aunt Cass, Biggest Fan”, although not an Inventor, works synergistically with them, giving +1 knowledge whenever she does a quest. It’s a nice boost, which can make for some interesting strategies if any of the six available items are still buried in the deck. However, for the most part, especially when compared to the Amber/Ruby deck, the Emerald/Sapphire deck Azurite Sea deck may lack a sense of cohesion.

Pros and cons of the Amber/Ruby deck

It’s aggressive but expensive

THE Disney Lorcana Amber/Ruby Azurite Sea deck is pirate-themed and has a strong sense of cohesion. Firstly, This is a deck about bringing together a large group of pirate characters who are ready to challenge anything thrown at them. Since many cards in the Amber/Ruby deck are cheap, players can quickly throw them away. This works perfectly in conjunction with location cards, of which there are many.

If players manage to get “Moana, Leader Kakamora” into play, one of the Azurite Sea new cards, she can move any number of characters in play to the same location for free and then gain +1 knowledge for each character.

For example, if players manage to get “Moana, Leader Kakamora” into play, one of the Azurite Sea new cards, she can move any number of characters in play to the same location for free and then gain +1 knowledge for each character. This can completely change the course of the battle, especially if the player has managed to get a lot of pirates into play. “Jim Hawkins, Honorable Pirate” is also ideal for putting Pirate characters into play, as he can look at the top four cards of the deck and put any Pirate card into the player’s hand.

There is a subtheme in the Amber/Ruby deck that sees players actively wanting their cards to be damaged. Damaged characters tend to get significant perks, like going to “Ratigan’s Party, Seedy Back Room Venue.” If that location has one or more damaged characters, it gains +2 knowledge. Players can easily win with a combination of hard-to-ban locations and a multitude of pirates. ready to challenge.

The main weakness of the Amber/Ruby deck is how expensive some of these cards can be. Both “Jim Hawkins, Honorable Pirate” and “Moana, Kakamora Leader” cost seven inks to play, which is not insignificant. Players will actually have to reach the end of the game to be able to play them, at which point they will be somewhat redundant. It’s not enough to completely discard this deck, as there are many very valuable cards worth using, but it is worth considering.

Why Azurite Sea’s best starting deck is Amber/Ruby

It’s better thematic and more cohesive

By far the best Azurite Sea The Starting Deck is Amber/Ruby. It has a more cohesive theme, not only aesthetically, as the Pirate theme adapts better to the entire sea angle, but also mechanically. It’s more satisfying to have all the various pirate characters work together and then draw a card like “Moana, leader Kakamora.”than trying to synergize the Inventor and Item cards in the Emerald/Sapphire deck.

Of course, this isn’t to say that the Emerald/Sapphire deck is without value, as it’s still an incredibly impressive option and perfect for anyone wanting some Big Hero Six cards. However, there are many more opportunities for strategies to fail and for players to be left with no way to win with the Emerald/Sapphire deck than what’s with Amber/Ruby. Players who enjoy a more aggressive playstyle will also prefer Amber/Ruby.

Ultimately, as even with the best Lorcana Starter decks can often come down to the characters included and the overall theme. For those who want to start Lorcanaboth decks offer the perfect opportunity for this. They are not particularly prepared for competitive games, so some adjustments with additional cards are necessary. However, while Amber/Ruby is a better deck overall, both contain good enough cards for those who want to get started or just want to try out the latest stuff. Disney Lorcana Cards can be chosen and have fun.
