Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 5, ‘Bird of Prey’ may have just written Sam Carver out for good. As one of the newest players on One Chicago, Jake Lockett’s character has spent the last few years getting used to working at Firehouse 51. Barring a few setbacks, both professional and personal, he appears to have fully adapted to the tight-knit group. . Previously, there were a few instances where he seemed to be finally leaving. So that’s sad Carver may finally step away from Firehouse 51 after Chicago Fire season 13, episode 5.
In “Birds of Prey,” Fire Station 51 juggles multiple cases. Kelly Severide and Chief Wallace Boden’s replacement, Dom Pascal, investigate a fire case, Mouch McHolland deals with a bird attack at the Fire Department, while Violet Mikami and Lyla Novak rush to Med with a man with abdominal stitches. That being said, Carver’s personal storyline may be the most interestingas he continues to spiral due to his ongoing relationship with Tori. After dragging his feet throughout the day, he is finally reprimanded for his transgressions, resulting in what could be his last shift at Fire Station 51.

Carver wasn’t himself throughout the move
A few episodes ago, Stella Kidd realized how much Carver had changed at work since he returned from his last leave. With Pascal watching Truck 81 after his team’s back-to-back matches, Kelly Severide’s wife can’t afford mistakes at this point. So Carver not giving his all every shift naturally becomes a problem. That being said, all the partying and drinking every night to hang out with his girlfriend finally catches up with him. Chicago Fire season 13, episode 6. Kidd finally loses his temper and sends Carver home mid-shift..
Handing Carver a tool he forgot at home because of another night out with his girlfriend, she encouraged him to leave Fire Station 51 and move to Austin, where many firefighters would be better suited to the kind of lifestyle he they have.
While Kidd doesn’t outright fire his right-hand man for negligence, Tori’s comments at the beginning of the episode may resonate with him. Handing Carver a tool he forgot at home because of another night out with his girlfriend, she encouraged him to leave Fire Station 51 and move to Austin, where many firefighters would be better suited to the kind of lifestyle he they have. Carver dismisses it, but after what happened between him and Kidd, he may start to seriously consider Tori’s suggestions. If this is the case, then the Chicago Fire cast may have just lost another character.

It’s unlikely that Carver is leaving Chicago Fire
Carver has been on the verge of leaving One Chicago so many times before. Only in Chicago Fire At the end of season 12, he once again went on leave following his heartbreaking conversation with Violet about the status of their relationship. He eventually returned, but when he did, it was clear he was a changed man. He became a party animal and an irresponsible member of the team. All things considered, Kidd pushing Carver out is justified, but in the larger scheme of things, it could be the fruit of all the near exits he’s had in recent years.
Fortunately, this accident is once again another fakeout for Carver. Chicago Fire has just promoted Jake Lockett to series regular, after playing a recurring character role in its early years, despite appearing in most episodes. The terms of his contract are not disclosed, but considering this, it’s safe to say that NBC and Wolf Entertainment have long-term plans for the character. This means that, eventually, Carver will regain his spot in Firehouse 51 and Truck 81. However, it’s unclear when that will happen.

At this point, One Chicago is used to character exits. As sad as it is to say goodbye to many fan favorites, the TV franchise has used it to keep its shows fresh and intriguing. That said, it’s no secret that in recent years, Chicago Fire lost some key players – including two original cast members, Chief Boden and Matt Casey. That’s in addition to saying goodbye to some longtime Firehouse 51 employees like Blake Gallo and Sylvie Brett.
It’s also worth noting that writing Carver means that Chicago Fire will have to put a stop to his romance with Violet before anything even happens.
With those, Chicago Fire Need stability more than anything right nowand letting Carver go won’t do that. Lockett has been a great addition to the cast, and in addition to not wanting to see him go, losing him means that Truck 81 will once again be searching for a new member. It is also important to note that writing Carver means that Chicago Fire he will have to stop his romance with Violet before anything even happens.
