Notice! This article contains SPOILERS for episode 3 of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Not even a full day after the reveal that Jude Law's “Jedi” scoundrel, Jod Na Nawood, is actually Crimson Jack in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, Star Wars hinted that this may be yet another ploy by the untrustworthy Jod. The youngest members of the Skeleton CrewThe cast of – Wim, Fern, KB and Neel – are still unsure whether to trust Jod or not, something their droid SM-33 supports them in. Clearly, Star Wars wants the audience to feel the same way about Jod, regardless of who his old friend might recognize and identify him as.
In your Skeleton Crew episode guide, StarWars. with discusses Jod known as “Crimson Jack”, a pirate who was first introduced in the first Marvel film Star Wars comics in 1977. The caption for this entry, however, suggests that Jod is not actually Crimson Jack yet. It starts by introducing “Jod's nickname for Crimson Jack,” before reminding viewers that Law’s Jod looks nothing like Crimson Jack in his modern iterationwhich can be seen in the canon Quiet legacy comic miniseries. Star Wars then joke what that means”Jod has a habit of not being who he says he is.”
What Jod's Nicknames Mean to the Skeleton Crew
This program solves mysteries well
Essentially, what Crimson Jack is a mere alias for Jod means is that Skeleton Crew So far, we have managed to unravel two great mysteries. The first is the mystery of the planet Attin itself, and why it is being hidden from the rest of the galaxy – or, at least, why it continues to do so if it doesn't appear to have any real treasure. The second is clearly Jod's real identity, as it's unclear whether this man is actually Captain Silvo, Jod Na Nawood, or Crimson Jack, considering how many different names he's gone by.
Is Jod REALLY Crimson Jack or is he just another alias?
Only time will tell…
Of course, the main question audiences are asking themselves right now is whether Crimson Jack is still Jod's ruse or whether it's actually his true identity. Given the fact that Kh'ymm identifies Jod as such, and that the New Republic's X-wings recognize the name as a threat, it's clear that Crimson Jack already has some kind of established history. What remains to be seen is whether Jod is actually the one who did this story under the pseudonym Crimson Jack.or whether he simply used this pseudonym around Kh'ymm and a few others.
Either way, this is certainly proving to be an exciting addition to the Skeleton CrewIt's a well-established mystery. The question still remains as to whether Jod is actually a Jedi or not.and whether he can truly wield the Force. Although it may seem that way after witnessing his actions inside the prison, Star Wars already proven it before in programs like Obi Wan Kenobi that this could all be a ruse. Clearly, this is Jod's greatest strength in Skeleton Crew: the ability to lie as if there were no tomorrow.
