Iron Man’s New Ultraman Mech Could Stop Galactus In His Tracks
Ultraman x Avengers #2 by Kyle Higgins, Matt Groom, Francesco Manna, Matt Milla and Ariana Maher
Although the Avengers aren’t familiar with the exact version of Earth they’ve followed Galactus to, it’s full of people already accustomed to giant kaiju wreaking havoc. Ultraman, one of the Ultras, is the best “native” defense against Galactus and the Kaiju, and he is the natural source of inspiration for the design of Iron Man. Both size and power are key If the Avengers and the Ultra Guard have no hope of saving the planet, and (at least in appearance) Tony Stark has delivered. The Mech is amazingly large, looming behind the Avengers as they lay out their plans, and Iron Man is already confident in his plan.

One of Ultraman’s strongest attacks is the “Space Beam”, and If the Mac is close to recreating the energy blast, it will make a difference. It is likely to have flight capabilities, and the design may appear to have hand-mounted weapons of some kind, along with whatever level of super strength its size may confer. Iron Man calls the Mac a “work of art,“And while Tony may be boastful, he’s often able to back it up with results.
Iron Man created his Ultraman mech technology designed to combat Kaiju
It may be more effective against Galactus as a result
Galactus venturing to Ultraman’s Earth meant to put the Avengers in league with the Ultra Guard, all former members of the United Science Patrol, along with Ultraman himself. Their combined knowledge of Kaiju and the technology used to combat them undoubtedly gave Tony something new to play with, meaning he had his hands on more than what he initially arrived with. He’s always been one of the best at creating something out of nothing, but that’s far from the case here. Iron Man Has resources and minds at his disposal that make his Ultraman mech a worthy weapon against Galactus.
