confirms the release date of Tom Cruiseapocalyptic movie after Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoningwhich will hit theaters on May 23, 2025. The next film, produced and directed by four-time Oscar winner Alejandro González Iñárritu, is currently untitled. The script was co-written by Inarritu and Birdman writers Nicolas Giacobone and Alexander Dinelaris along with Sabina Berman. Filming reportedly began in the UK in November.
Cruise's upcoming untitled apocalyptic film now has an official release date. The film will arrive in October 2, 2026 in IMAX. Cruise and Mary Parent are also credited as producers. In addition to Cruise, the cast includes Sandra Huller (THE Anatomy of a fall), John Goodman (Monsters, Inc.), Michael Stuhlbarg (Men in Black 3), Jesse Plemons (Civil War), Sofia Wilde (Talk to me) and Riz Ahmed (Poison). The log line follows "the most powerful man in the world"while he boards a"frantic mission"to save humanity from being destroyed by disaster"he is loose."
