Superman and Lois is heading down an incredible path, with the DC Universe series set to tackle a number of secret identity questions that I didn’t expect them to return to in its final episodes. The live-action Superman shows often revolve around whether Clark Kent’s secret identity will be revealed and Superman and Lois is no exception to this. Several major storylines in the series revolve around the Kents trying to keep their secret safe, and figures like Lana Lang and her daughter Sarah have learned who Superman really is over the course of the series.
The CW’s latest season took a lot of risks and made a lot of bold choices in its storylines, giving audiences plots that I didn’t expect to see on television. Following one of the best iterations of Superman’s on-screen death and a terrifying new Luthor, I was immensely pleased with the stories the show decided to tell.I. Based on Superman and Lois Season 4, Episode 6, it now appears that one of the most important themes and mysteries, taken directly from the comics, will be explored in more detail in the series.
Superman & Lois Season 4 Teased That Superman’s Secret May Be Becoming Public Knowledge on Smallville
Chuck, Aidy, Candice, and Denis at the very least learned that Clark Kent is Superman in Season 4
The last episode of Superman and Lois saw Smallville save Superman when Aidy Manning refused to sell his property to Lex Luthor. During the first scenes about this conflict, Aidy mentions knowing that Clark Kent sacrificed a lot for the city, seeming to reference the fact that he is Superman.. Later, Lex tries to intimidate her and offers money to everyone in the bar where the scene takes place to ensure the sale goes through. This is ultimately rejected, particularly by the character Chuck.
Superman and Lois Season 4 has already revealed that Chuck knows Clark is Superman, having seen the Kent family’s grief after the Man of Steel’s death and realizing why they were so worried about it. As such, Season 4 has now shown that Aidy, Chuck, Coach Gaines, Jonathan’s girlfriend Candice, and the Kent brothers’ friend Denis – who revealed he also solved the mystery – can be added to the ranks of people who know. Superman’s secret identity.
With this list constantly growing, it seems like more and more people from Smallville are discovering who the hero really is. Because Superman’s death and resurrection made his secret identity harder to hide – in part because Clark’s notable absence during this period and Kent’s grief would have been seemingly easy for Smallville residents to detect – more people are revealing they know Who Clark is would make sense, especially since it’s likely that Smallville has had some considerable gossip surrounding the Man of Steel’s death and return.
Smallville discovering Clark’s secret identity and keeping it would be a perfect story for the show
Superman and Lois talk about how important all the other characters are to the Man of Steel’s legacy
Superman and Lois has been, in large part, about how much Superman needs the people around him. The series was built around his relationships with Lois and their two children, and seeing how those relationships influenced the series was rewarding and compelling. However, it seems like the series has been subtly expanding that scope all along: Smallville is as impactful on Clark’s life and his success as Superman as his family is.
Exploring Smallville’s discovery of his identity in this way would make perfect sense for the series. As the series ends its final season with a conclusion that could forever end Superman’s career in this universe, the community that created and fostered him is important to this story. I can’t help but think Superman and Lois It’s been less about the hero himself and more about the people who make his heroism possible. As such, showing this community that they know his secret and support him could provide a moving ending that would allow the city’s citizens to have their own meaningful farewell.
Superman and Lois’ Secret Identity Plot Continues Old Man of Steel Tradition
The topic has been explored many times in the past
Clark Kent’s secret identity as Superman, and the impact of others discovering that identity, has been a big part of the Superman narrative over the years.. This impacted his relationship with Lois in previous films and series – including in an iconic Superman II scene – and in Smallville this complicates most of the characters’ friendships. The discovery of Superman’s secret in Smallville was important in shaping numerous character dynamics on the series, including with series regulars like Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan.
The stories surrounding these revelations have also been told in many comics over the years – some by Clark’s choice and others by his circumstances. This goes back to Superman #20, where the Man of Steel made his reveal as a joke. The most important thing, however, is that these revelations never tend to be permanent. Generally, story details return the character to the status quo at the end. However, this is unlikely to happen to the entire town of Smallville, where Superman and Lois is about to wrap up its story, making the prospect of this plot intriguing.
Superman’s identity is difficult to hide with just a pair of glasses, but each Man of Steel performance did a convincing job of differentiating between Clark and Superman as separate characters. It would make sense for Smallville to find out who Superman is, and it would also make sense for the town to keep that secret under wraps. However this is addressed in future episodes, I’m sure it will make for a powerful and satisfying ending for Superman and Lois.
Superman and Loisthe Arrowverse’s seventh spinoff series, will take the titular characters from Metropolis to Smallville. The CW series is set after the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover, which saw the collapse of the multiverse and the merging of worlds on what is now Earth Prime. Superman and Lois sees Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) dealing with all the pressures of their jobs, as well as being parents to two teenage children. Lois and Clark are no strangers to the Arrowverse, with Hoechlin’s Superman having been introduced way back when. Supergirl season 2. Meanwhile, Tulloch’s Lois made her debut in 2018’s “Elseworlds” crossover. The pair are joined by a growing cast of characters that includes a new iteration of Lana Lang.
