I’m so glad evil did justice to my favorite villain actor of the 2000s

Despite the untimely ending, I’m glad the supernatural drama Evil finally doing justice to my favorite villain actor Michael Emerson. Emerson played several iconic villains throughout the 2000s, winning an Emmy Award for his role as serial killer William Hinks in Practice, and the morally complex Benjamin (Ben) Linus in the series Lost. Emerson also played reluctant villain Zep Hindle in Saw franchise, supervillain Cayden James Arrowand scientist Ziggy Wilzig in Fall out. Emerson’s roles tend to be morally ambiguous, but Evil Leland Townsend allowed him to play a different type of villain.

Emerson has a characteristically soft-spoken manner and tends to bring a nervous, nervous energy to the antagonists he plays. Ben started out as one of the LostThe series has many villains, but he became increasingly complex throughout the series because Emerson’s performance impressed the directors so much that they wrote him a larger role. However, the ending Lost is still controversial, and Ben’s villainous status remains unclear. Since Emerson plays antagonists so well, I was hoping to see him play a real villain. Eviland see his character meet a fitting end. I wasn’t disappointed.

After Lost, Evil’s Leland proves Michael Emerson is one of the best villain actors on television ever.

Leland Townsend’s ending is appropriate, but allows for a possible return

Like him Lost character, Emerson has a talent for appearing harmlesseven cowardly, and his role as EvilRoot beer-drinking demonic psychologist Leland Townsend plays to his strengths. However, Townsend is different from Emerson’s other villains. His childish behavior makes him seem mischievous even as he commits some of his most evil acts, including radicalizing Noah and hypnotizing Andy to kill his daughter. This is a sharp difference from Lost’Ben, and the new character traits that Emerson brought to his Evil the role proves, in my opinion, that he is one of the best villain actors of all time.

Although I hoped that the evil Townsend would be killed by Kristen, his fate is Evil the ending means he will be tortured forever… a fitting and satisfying ending for a human character who behaved in such a demonic manner.

End Evil In season four, Townsend is stuffed into a sack and placed in a demonic closet in a silent retreat that leaves him alive, with the option for Emerson to reprise his role if Evil always renewed for a new season. Although I was hoping that evil Townsend would be killed by Kristen, his fate in Evil the ending means he will suffer forever (or until he is freed), which is also a fitting and satisfying ending for a human character who behaved in such a demonic manner.

Leland from “Evil” or Ben from “Lost”: Which Michael Emerson Villain is the Best?

Lost And Evil’s ending suits Michael Emerson’s characters

Ben from Lost He did terrible things, including killing Locke and letting his own daughter die. Although he is described as “true only to yourselfLost hinted that a higher power was at work and that the island had turned him from a good character into something more controversial. Bye Ben is one of Emerson’s best characters because of his complexity.I think the pure evil shown by Townsend makes him Emerson’s best villain since William Hinks in Private practice. Evil’The supernatural element of the film gave Emerson the opportunity to show off his range as a more unusual antagonist, and Emerson was up to the task.

Controversial ending Lost left many plot points unresolved, instead focusing on completing the characters’ redemption arcs. Although this choice received mixed reviews, Emerson liked it. LostThe ending where Ben decided not to enter the church with the others. This left his character open for further development, giving Ben more room to improve himself. However, Townsend was hopeless and completing his character’s storyline in a way that ensured he received a just punishment was extremely important. EvilThe satisfying ending gave Townsend the fate he deserved, allowing Michael Emerson to end his time in Evil with that well-deserved final scene.
