Zach Braff’s guest appearance in Apple’s new crime comedy series Bad monkey Got me more excited about the recently confirmed reboot of Scrubs. Vince Vaughn leads the cast of Bad monkey As a former Miami detective trying to get his job back after being demoted to a health inspector. Bad monkey is one of the many shows created by prolific television producer Bill LawrenceWhose other works are included Ted Lasso (2020-2023), Shrinking (2023-), Cougar Town (2009-2015), and Scrubs (2001-2010). Bad monkey Follows Van’s Andrew Yancey who comes across a severed human arm and believes it’s his way back to the police force after being demoted to a restaurant inspector in the Florida Keys.

Zach Braff is hilarious as a drug-addled Doctor in Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey Show

Braff’s Israel O’Peele is a great addition to the Apple comedy series

His back-and-forth lust with Vince Vaughn is one of the highlights of Bad monkey Until now, which makes me wish that he played a more central character in the series.

Zach Braff does not appear in Bad monkey Until episode 3, titled “No One Said He Was Alvin Einstein”. Bad monkey Episode 3 was released on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 and is one of the funniest episodes of the drama series to date, with many thanks to Braff, who plays a drug-addicted doctor named Israel O’Peel. Although Braff’s guest appearance ends up only a few scenes in Bad monkey Episode 3, it was all I needed to get excited about his return to Scrubswhich is rumored to take on a darker side to its iconic protagonist JD.

Braff really feels in his peak comic form Bad monkeyStealing every scene he takes part in as a paranoid and inappropriately medicated reclusive doctor who is in too deep with the wrong crowd. His back-and-forth lust with Vince Vaughn is one of the highlights of Bad monkey Until now, which makes me wish that he played a more central character in the series. Nevertheless, Braff was the best part of every scene he was in, which is high praise considering the strong actors he shares the screen with Bad monkey. Perhaps his drug-induced doctor character in Bad Monkey was a warmup role for his expected return as an older JD in Scrubs Season 10.

What Zach Braff and series creator Bill Lawrence had to say about Scrubs Season 10

Both are very enthusiastic about the return of the celebrated series

Braf and Scrubs Creator Bill Lawrence, who also coincidentally developed Bad monkey For television, both have confirmed and expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming continuation of their beloved Scrubs Series. Braff recently discussed with Screen Rant his vision of what an older JD would look like Scrubs Season 10.”Well, I think that… you know, JD is a grown a** man now, and so Scrubs would still have his imagination. But I think he’s more in the Dr. Cox position these days. He’s the senior doctor at the hospital.”

Braff continued, “I think it would be interesting to find him longing for some of the innocence of his youth, and finding ways to sort of return to the character that everyone fell in love with. It would be interesting for me, when he lost some of his joy, and went looking to find some of the joy of his youth..” Lawrence also recently confirmed the return of Scrubs to television, said “I’m really honest about it. We definitely will, just because we all enjoy hanging out. I’m open to it, and I don’t want to do it as a movie, but I’m definitely open to doing another couple years of the show.”

What happened to Braff’s Israel O’Peele character in Bad Monkey Episode 3

Braff’s character did not survive through the end of the episode

Braff’s involvement in Bad monkey Episode 3 was unfortunately short-lived. He is surprisingly killed off after only a few scenes, which is too bad really because he and Vaughn are great together and Braff would have been fun to watch in his dysfunctional character in a larger capacity. It appears that Brap’s Israel O’Phil was shot and killed by a gunshot wound to the back of the head in his own apartment. While the identity of the killer has yet to be confirmed, it looks as if Christopher (Rob Delaney) killed him off as one of the many people who know about his insurance fraud scheme to live lavishly in the Bahamas.

A former Miami detective turned health inspector, Andrew Yancey, discovers a severed arm while working in the Florida Keys. Determined to solve the mystery and regain his former position, he navigates a web of strange locales and corruption, all while dealing with a troublesome monkey.
