Notice! This article contains spoilers for episode 6 of Agatha All Along.
After Agatha all the time episode 6, I’m more angry than ever about Scarlet Witch’s multiversal killing spree. The end of WandaVision prepare Wanda’s villainous turn Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and I was personally excited to see how this would be handled. Although I like Doctor Strange 2 enough and I think Wanda was a compelling antagonist, I found that there were some aspects that could have been explored in more detail, namely how Wanda was corrupted by the Darkhold, thus explaining how she suddenly agreed to commit multiversal mass murder.
After Agatha all the time After the end of episode 6, however, I found myself looking more negatively at Scarlet Witch’s turn. While the reason for this is based on a solid narrative based on Joe Locke’s Marvel character Billy Maximoff, I can’t help but be disappointed with how Wanda’s actions became completely unnecessary. Through the stories of Agatha all the timeIn Wanda’s cast of characters, Wanda is getting a lot of retroactive context, with no plot point suffering more from this than her universe-wide murder spree in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Agatha All Along reveals what happened to Wanda’s children after WandaVision
Billy and Tommy are reborn
Firstly, it is worth exploring the elements Agatha all the time that recontextualize the story of Wanda’s villain. Three years later WandaVisionAt the end of, the spin-off series is finally answering what happened to Wanda and Vision’s children: Billy and Tommy. Agatha all the time Episode 6 took cues from Marvel Comics and told the story of William Kaplan, a young Jewish man whose life changes forever when his body is inhabited by the soul of Billy Maximoff. It was revealed that while Wanda’s spell around the town of Westview was wearing off, William died in a car accident trying to return home to Eastview.
Billy Maximoff’s soul, no longer kept alive by Wanda’s Spell, thus found a new container on the recently deceased William. William was revived as Billy Maximoff, unaware of his previous life except for one name: Tommy. After discovering his identity as Wanda’s son, Billy decided to travel the MCU’s Witch Road to use the gifts promised at the end to find Tommy. Just like Billy, Tommy’s soul found another container, but it is not yet known where.
Agatha always makes Wanda’s multiversal killing more unnecessary
Wanda’s villainous story becomes even darker
As I alluded to earlier, I feel that these revelations in Agatha all the time render Wanda’s multiversal killing spree of Doctor Strange 2 completely unnecessary. That said, I will note that these revelations do not increase my dislike for the latter, and this feeling is more rooted in a tragic irony that makes for a compelling story. Regardless, the fact that Wanda searched the multiverse and killed several people in hopes of finding her children becomes sadly unnecessary due to the fact that one of them, Billy, was in the nearby town of Westview.
This adds the aforementioned level of ironic sadness to Wanda’s story. Despite Doctor Strange 2of Having finished doing a good job of condemning Wanda’s actions, I felt a sense of sadness as I watched her decline due to the way she WandaVision and the previous MCU stories made me care for her. Agatha all the time now he revealed to me that Wanda didn’t even need to travel across the multiverse committing these acts to find her children, and could have found half of what she wanted in a neighboring city.
Why couldn’t Wanda find Billy or Tommy after WandaVision?
Agatha All the Time explains this a little
As I mentioned earlier, Agatha all the time recontextualized Doctor Strange 2 in this way, although with a story that makes sense. The main way the first one did this was by exploring why Wanda couldn’t find Billy and Tommy on Earth-616, later resulting in her searching for America Chavez and traveling across the multiverse. At least as far as Billy is concerned, Agatha all the time addresses this potential plot hole through revelations about the secrecy that has been placed on it since the series premiere.
One Agatha all the time Episode 6 Easter Egg saw William Kaplan meet Lilia Calderu at her Bar Mitzvah. Here, Lilia’s divination powers reveal to her that William will eventually become Billy Maximoff, resulting in the sigil being placed on him to protect him from the ramifications of being Scarlet Witch’s son. As Agatha explained in episode 4, even the witch who placed the sigil won’t remember doing so, explaining why Lilia – as well as every other witch in the world – couldn’t sense Billy’s powers.
Here’s the Explanation for Why Wanda Couldn’t Feel Billy Afterwards WandaVision. Secrecy was preventing this…
Once the secrecy breaks Agatha all the time In episode 6, the titular character explains that every witch with a heartbeat will be able to sense Billy now. Here’s the Explanation for Why Wanda Couldn’t Feel Billy Afterwards WandaVision. The secrecy was preventing this, resulting in his multiversal rampage. Where is Tommy Maximoff Ágatha all the time, however, the answer is a little less clear, although I have a theory.
In the comics, Tommy is reborn as Tommy Shepherd, a troubled young man. Tommy’s super-speed powers eventually manifest and he destroys a school, leading to him being contained in a high-security facility that diminishes his powers. If the MCU’s Tommy Maximoff is revealed to have suffered a similar fate, it could explain why Wanda couldn’t sense him either. Regardless of whether this is true, Agatha all the timeWanda’s revelations make Doctor Strange 2 trip more unnecessary and, as a result, more tragic in retrospect.
