chainsaw man Part Two has been divisive among fans of the series since its debut in 2022. Following the beloved and acclaimed Public Safety Saga, Tatsuki Fujimoto had his hands full with the continuation of his series, and the author was well aware of this fact. chainsaw man became extremely popular during its initial rungarnering one of the largest fan bases a manga has ever had before any official anime release. And as soon as an adaptation was announced by MAPPA, the fanfare only grew.
When the manga finally resumed after nearly two years, fans couldn't wait to pick up where Denji left off and see the Hybrid Devil acclimate to school life. Immediately, however, Fujimoto reminded his readers what kind of author he isand took the focus away from the titular Chainsaw Man in the first few chapters. If Asa's introduction wasn't enough to convince fans that Part Two wouldn't be exactly what they expected, then the events that followed certainly would be.
One of the most common complaints to appear on the series in recent times is that this forced the character's regression in Denji. Part One ended with the protagonist's victory over Makima and set him on a brighter path towards school life with his new younger sister. Now, many fans are wondering why Part Two is once again dragging Denji through the mud, undoing all the growth he had in the previous saga. And although Denji has progressed well in chainsaw manthe first part, it seems some fans may have misunderstood the scars Makima left on him.

In addition to Denji's trauma, there were other unresolved issues after the victory over Makima. The Public Security figurehead could have been eliminated, but the organization still remainedand along with him, members who did not entirely agree with Denji's actions. Barem's hatred for Chainsaw Man directly led to Nayuta's recently confirmed death, while the remnants of Public Security are currently doing everything in their power to use Pochita and create the perfect world that Makima envisioned.
Although the ending of Part One took care of the main antagonist, It wasn't the happiness Denji deserved. His past was bound to haunt him, and there were enemies left that wouldn't just disappear. Part Two is just the natural progression of the end point of part one, and it seems like Denji is finally starting to heal.
