Supernatural Season 16 wouldn’t feel complete if a lingering injustice from Dean Winchester’s past wasn’t righted. Discussions about Sam and Dean potentially returning to screens have been ongoing since before SupernaturalThe ending actually appeared. Gradually, however, that prospect became more and more likely. Prequel spinoff The Winchesters was canceled after season one, clearing the way for the main show’s return, and both Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki have remained open to a Supernatural Again on the many occasions they have been asked. Supernatural Season 16 remains unconfirmed, officially speaking, but feels very strongly like an inevitability.
If Supernatural Season 16 is ever happening, there are many unresolved storylines to pick up. The Winchesters Dean and Castiel never finished his Acrida arc due to discussing the romantic (or otherwise) nature of their parting moments, and God’s alarmingly straightforward defeat in the middle of season 15 SupernaturalS uber-villain can easily return. One of the first things on Supernatural The agenda of season 16, however, should be to revisit season 6 and right a particularly upsetting injustice of Dean Winchester’s adult life.
Supernatural season 16 must bring back Lisa and Ben (and restore their memories)
Supernatural totally forgot about Lisa & Ben
Dean Winchester was famous for his bed-hopping antics, and died before ever settling down permanently. Jensen Ackles’ character has, however, come close to family happiness with Lisa Braeden and her son, Ben, whom Dean treats as his own child. Supernatural Season 6 ended the Braeden’s story in tragic circumstances when Dean decided removing himself from the minds of both Lisa and Ben was the only way to protect them.
Lisa and Ben Supernatural The ending was simply too tragic to be the last chapter of their story, and a far too significant part of Dean’s life to be dropped completely.
It always felt like Supernatural Would circle back to the Braedens, restore their memories – easily done in Supernaturals world – and conversely arguably the most heartbreaking moment in Dean’s story. rather, Supernatural Hardly mentioned the letters again, and when Dean died in Supernatural In the finale of season 15, Lisa and Ben still have no memory of the hunter who loved them – the missing member of their family unit.

Dean’s excuse for wiping himself from Lisa and Ben’s minds never really made sense. Dean still cared deeply about them, so any anti-Winchester enemies could still gain leverage over the brothers by kidnapping the Braedens. Indeed, Removing Lisa and Ben’s knowledge of all things paranormal actually puts them at greater riskSince it would have lowered their guard against other worldly threats.
Logic gaps aside, Lisa and Ben’s Supernatural The ending was simply too tragic to be the last chapter of their story, and a far too significant part of Dean’s life to be dropped completely. Supernatural Season 15 may have more pressing matters to deal with, but if Season 16 ever happens, there will be no excuse not to end Dean and Lisa’s doomed romance in a more satisfying way.
Supernatural season 16 needs to focus on Dean’s end
It should be Dean’s time if Supernatural gets another go around
Only one Winchester brother got a happy ending SupernaturalAnd it’s not the one who found himself impaled on a metal spike in the hands of a vampire. While Dean was at least afforded a heartwarming reunion with Bobby Singer, it was Sam who, through a series of flash forwards, lived his best life and started a family. If Supernatural Ever get it again, it would make sense to flip the script and focus on molding a more fulfilling final fate for Dean.
Lisa is, by some distance, the closest Dean ever came to a “one true love” in SupernaturalWhile Ben was his surrogate son long before Jack came along. It is unthinkable that Dean Winchester’s Supernatural History could ever feel truly complete without the Braedens being involved, so if Supernatural Season 16 decided to give Dean a proper encore instead of just an Impala ride around the sky while he waits for Sam to die, Lisa and Ben are inevitably necessary additions.
How Lisa and Ben’s story can have a happy ending when Dean is already dead
Death is little more than a return to the supernatural
Dean’s death is an obstacle in front of any hopes that he will rekindle romance with Lisa, but all is not completely lost. Even if Dean stayed dead, An angel could easily restore Lisa and Ben’s memoriesAnd that simple act alone would bring a much greater sense of closure to their story. Even if Dean was dead, Lisa and Ben could cherish the memories they had made in the past, resolving the gruesome aspect of their Supernatural Finish in its current form.
A Supernatural Ending where both Winchester brothers save people, hunting things and changing diapers would improve significantly on the existing finale.
As seen in The WinchestersDean Winchester plays fast and loose with the rules of death, so a final farewell with the Braedens is not useless. Dean might even promise to watch over them from afar, which, again, would represent a much more rounded ending to the trio’s bond than season 15 managed. Since this is SupernaturalHowever, you can never rule it out either. Death is often temporary where SupernaturalThe main characters are concerned, and although Dean initially wanted to stay away, the prospect of a life with Lisa and Ben would likely be enough to change his mind.
There is nothing in it Supernaturals final scene – the one with Sam and Dean both in heaven – to confirm that Dean stayed dead the whole time. Ackles’ character could absolutely return to the living realm in season 16, enjoying the same balance of monster hunting and family life that his brother seemed to find after the last episode. A Supernatural The end where both Winchester brothers save people, hunting things and changing diapers would improve significantly on the existing finale, and rightly a wrong that stood for 13 long years.
