If Daryl Dixon Turned Evil, This Scene Proves He’d Be The Walking Dead’s Most Dangerous Villain

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, episode 5.Despite having a chip on my shoulder when the series started Daryl Dixon became one of the franchise’s most reasonable survivors, but his spinoff only proved how dangerous he would be if he ever became a villain.. Although Daryl is generally very loyal and caring, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon showed his more brutal side, and one scene in particular highlights just how menacing the character truly is. Although some of Daryl’s best Undead moments involved heartfelt conversations or funny dialogue, the character is at his best when he’s in conflict.

Fortunately, the spinoff show provided plenty of fights involving Daryl, as he had to overcome several zombie attacks as well as France’s villainous factions. Having tortured someone in Season 1 for information, the series seemed to be leaning into its darker side, and while Daryl and Isabelle’s romance story highlighted some of the protagonist’s more loving characteristics, Season 2 only intensified the violence. However, ‘Vouloir, C’est Pouvoir’ went a step further, highlighting how terrifying the character can be at his worst, confirming that a villainous version of Daryl Dixon would be a big deal.

Daryl Dixon’s French Catacombs Scene Proves He Would Be a Fearsome Villain

His terrifying combat skills would make a menacing antagonist

The catacombs scene in Season 2 Episode 5 was the ultimate demonstration of how intimidating Daryl can be, as he separated L’Union and Pouvoir in deadly fashion. After being chased into the catacombs alongside Laurent and Codron, the protagonist helped hide the boy somewhere safe and took a separate path from Codron to face the show’s villains. Although audiences are used to Daryl facing large groups of enemies alone, Seeing the action from the perspective of Losang and his soldiers helps show how scary it would be to get on the protagonist’s bad side.

Watching the soldiers step into the darkness and fall one by one proves that Daryl is a master at using his environment and combat skills to defeat even the toughest enemies. Given that he played an important role in Genet’s story Undead death, it becomes clear that Daryl is capable of taking down powerful leaders, and his confrontations with Beta and the Saviors confirm that there are very few characters who can resist him. The L’Union and Pouvoir coalition found this out the hard way, as every soldier who went hunting for Daryl ended up dead.

Killing Losang alongside his army highlighted how difficult it is to face Daryl, and even Undeadthe central characters would struggle.

Losang finally tried to take matters into his own hands, and although he got the better of the surviving veteran, Daryl soon responded with a devastating blow. Killing Losang alongside his army highlighted how difficult it is to face Daryl, and even Undeadthe central characters would struggle. Add in his ability to stalk his prey while silently killing, and it’s clear that Daryl Dixon has the potential to be the franchise’s most dangerous villain if he turns against his allies.

Daryl Dixon’s John Wick-Esque attack on the Union has already proven him to be a major threat

Daryl taking down several soldiers by himself confirmed how dangerous he is

Although the scene in the French catacombs reinforced how threatening he is, the spinoff has already confirmed this through Daryl’s attack on the Nest. Having prevented the Union from completing their ceremony involving Laurent, the villainous faction turned their attention to the protagonist, who had to fight off waves of soldiers. The action led Daryl Dixon to become involved in a John Wick-like a fight scene where he killed enemies one after another in hand-to-hand combat. His quick thinking and creative techniques allowed him to avoid being outnumbered and escape with his life, at least until he was captured at the end of the episode.

While L’Union may not be filled with trained fighters, the group still has many followers who are capable of defending themselves and the faction is well equipped with firearms. So the fact that Daryl was able to take on so many of them alone is a remarkable achievement, and it’s not the first time he’s done this. All over UndeadOver the 11 seasons, Daryl has fought against large groups of enemies, making it even more impressive that he has survived all of these encounters without permanent injuries.which cements his status as one of the best fighters in the franchise.

The Walking Dead survivors wouldn’t have made it this far without Daryl

Daryl was one of The Walking Dead’s most influential and trusted survivors

UndeadEach of the central characters has their own characteristics that have helped them survive for so long, but they wouldn’t have gotten this far without Daryl. His survival tactics were critical at the start of the apocalypse, as he had developed hunting and tracking skills well before the outbreak. Not only was this useful when it came to finding food, but it also allowed him to help find lost allies while keeping tabs on enemies. He was willing to get his hands dirty in front of some of the other heroes, showing his value to the group.

Many members of the main cast developed their most useful attributes over several seasons of the series, but without Daryl, this may not have been possible. Furthermore, he also helped save the group on several occasions. Your involvement in one of the Undead‘No Way Out”s best episodes, ‘No Way Out’, saw him fire a rocket launcher into a fuel-filled lake to draw out the horde that infiltrated Alexandria, and Daryl also saved the lives of many of his allies on a more individual level.

Carol grew up to become one of the franchise’s most capable survivors, but by season two, she was much more fragile and faced almost certain destruction after finding herself alone on Hershel’s farm. Fortunately, Daryl was there at the right time to rescue her, suggesting that she would not have survived beyond the first year of the outbreak without him. Daryl also helped rescue Rick, who was trapped by walkers in the prison in Season 3 and paved the way for him and Aaron to escape in Season 5.showing how many characters owe their lives to the survival expert.

Daryl Dixon vs. Rick Grimes: Who would really win in an all-out war?

Both characters have their own strengths

In the unlikely scenario of Daryl turning evil, an all-out war between him and Rick would be a fascinating encounter. While both are extremely excellent fighters, the history of the franchise suggests that a one-on-one fight would favor Daryl. Rick has survived extreme situations and has shown the ability to become incredibly savage when up against a wall. However, Daryl also possesses similar characteristics and superior combat skills, making him the favorite. Both have endured a lot of punishment and overcome adversity time and time again, but Daryl has the fighting experience to defeat Rick, especially with his variety of weapons.

Daryl is lethal with guns, crossbows, knives, and flails, suggesting he has more in his arsenal. Despite this, if Daryl faced Rick in the more traditional wars that we are used to seeing in UndeadRick has the advantage. Rick is a more motivational and experienced leader who has earned the trust of his allies. Furthermore, his CRM training makes him much more capable of leading an army of fighters and proposing strategic attacks that would leave Daryl and his hypothetical group extremely vulnerable.

New episodes of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol airs Sundays on AMC and AMC+.

Although The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon proved that Daryl can inspire people in his own way, Rick seems to be the more powerful character overall, especially at this point in the franchise. While he may not be able to defeat Daryl alone, Rick’s ability to influence those around him while possessing unique abilities like piloting a helicopter proves him to be the most versatile survivor.and would probably be their best long-term ally in the event of an all-out war between the duo.
