Sailing yacht below deck season 5 has been dragging on viewers, leaving me wanting the series must be replaced by another Below Deck spin off after Gary King ruined the show. Although Sailing yacht below deck hasn't fared very well throughout the current season, it feels very stale and uninteresting without the drama of Gary, Daisy Kelliher and Colin Macrae to round out the show. The charter guests were difficult to watch, the crew drama made things undeniably boring, and most of the storylines felt overly produced as the season slowly continued.
While Gary, who has been consistently written off the show because of allegations of sexual misconduct that have come to light before Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, he was on board the Parsifal III throughout the season, he was not very prominent. Bravo did its best to remove Gary from the show as much as possible after there were calls for his removal from viewers, but things felt strange on the series from the start of the season. Gary's consistent stories showed his problematic behavior, but also kept the show moving. With BDSY struggling, I think it should be replaced.
Gary brought controversy to BDSY
Your behavior has been problematic
After Sailing yacht below deck season 4, many viewers were already having problems with Gary behavior over the last few seasons. Although he was a competent yachtsman, Gary struggled to behave in an adult and mature manner towards the female crew, regardless of which superyacht or sailing yacht he was working on. Gary's difficulties were clear from the beginning of the series, but they worsened as the seasons went on.. His behavior was difficult for some to observe, as Gary was not always respectful towards the women on board and often created problems and competition where it was not necessary.
After Sailing yacht below deck After the season 4 reunion, Gary and Daisy returned to filming the show's next season, but allegations of sexual assault against Gary came to light during the filming process. Although Gary vehemently denied the allegations, it was clear that there were issues in his past that would make the allegations credible to the public. The case of misconduct, described by a Below Deck makeup artist, occurred when she was trying to work with Gary, but he became belligerent and behaved inappropriately. Although the allegations are not confirmed, Gary's behavior tarnished Sailing yachts below deck clean reputation.
BDSY Season 5 is not pleasing viewers
The season doesn't have the same drama
Although Sailing yacht below deck season 5 was already filming when Gary's allegations came to light, the show chose to continue filming with Gary as part of the crew. Although viewers called for his removal from the series, Gary was such an integral part of the cast and had so much to do with the outside team that it probably didn't make sense to remove him from the team. Gary was not only employed by Below Deck, he is also an off-season employee on Captain Glenn Shephard's Parsifal III, so removing him from the crew would be difficult to do.
As Sailing yacht below deck With production on Season 5 wrapped, it was clear there would be changes to the editing process, but it was unclear what would happen to Gary. When the show premiered, Gary's presence was extremely limited, despite his appearance in the new season's trailer. The rest of the team was supposed to pick up the slack on its behalf, but the series wasn't able to captivate its audience in the same way it usually does. I think Sailing yacht below deck seemed stilted and boring in the current season.
A New Spin-Off Could Take Over BDSY
A new program could renew the franchise
Although it is possible that Sailing yacht below deck could be renewed, the series may not be able to recover after a particularly difficult season and some struggles with cast members. Although there are other Below Deck programs to keep the franchise moving, a new Below Deck spin-off could be exactly what viewers are looking for. Although the franchise has seen the failure of Adventure below deck, Some of the franchise's other spin-offs have made it clear that the adventurous aspect of the franchise is something viewers are interested in. Another series that relies on adventures outside of the yacht could do well.
Sailing yacht below deck has a unique twist on the original concept, as the crew is working aboard a sailing yacht that is a little more difficult to sail than a traditional superyacht. With different abilities, it would be interesting to see a Below Deck spin-off that uses a series of abilities that viewers are not used to seeing on screen. Although it is possible that Sailing yacht below deck could be regulated, seeing a new spin-off could do wonders for the series' viewers.
Sailing yacht below deck airs Mondays at 9pm EST on Bravo.
