In a move that made me scratch my head Bachelor producers gave Jerry Turner a cameo role in Golden bachelorette partywhen he returned to give advice to his friend, leading actress Joan Vassos. Jerry starred in the first ever season of the series Golden Bachelorduring which he initially stole hearts as a widower looking for the second great love of his life after his wife Toni died suddenly six years earlier after 43 years of marriage. Jerry found that love with Teresa Nist, who lost her husband of 42 years, Billy, nine years ago.
For Golden BachelorJerry and Teresa get engaged. They got married on January 4, 2024, in a live televised event called the Golden Wedding. However, just three months later, Jerry and Teresa announced that they were getting a divorce because they could not decide where to live as they did not want to leave their families. Their divorce caused shock Bachelor Nation, and left some fans, including myself, wondering if ABC should even bother Golden bachelorette party. However, for now Joan has bought the franchise. That’s why What baffles me is that the producers included Jerry in Joan’s journey..
Jerry Turner – heartthrob
Jerry didn’t deserve to appear on Joan’s Golden Bachelorette season
For Golden BachelorI was shocked to hear this Hollywood Reporter published an expose on Jerry in which they revealed the fact that the producers didn’t vet him very well. Although Jerry was presented as an innocent widower who had not dated much since his wife died, the article claimed that he had been dating a woman for almost three years and she was even living with him..
Jerry was accused of leaving a woman because she gained weight before his high school date. I was so disappointed to hear this because it indicated that or Jerry misrepresented himself to Golden Bachelor producers, or they knew about it and created an image for Jerry that he could never live up to. It amazed me that they didn’t think anyone would find out about Jerry’s supposed dating history.
After these accusations, most Bachelor Nation turned his back on Jerry, but he still had fans. When Golden bachelorette party Even though the finale aired, many fans felt that he beat out runner-up Leslie Fima because he told her that he loved her and that she could be the one. Then I started to realize that Jerry could be a heartthrob. However, Jerry’s divorce from Teresa was the last straw for many fans, including me. All season long, Jerry seemed like a sham.which is manipulated by producers for the sake of ratings.
It seemed incredible that Jerry and Teresa hadn’t discussed where they would live after their wedding, and people began to wonder if that was the real reason for their breakup in the first place. Jerry did so much damage Bachelor franchise, but instead of using Joan’s season as a way to redeem him, the producers allowed him to make a cameo appearance, which ruined her good mood. I think Jerry’s visit to Joan was unnecessary even though they are good friends, especially after Joan said they were talking off-screen before her season even started. Jerry was the last person who should have advised Joan..
Bachelor Producers Need to Stop Giving Jerry a Platform
Jerry’s Golden Bachelor Season Is a Reminder of the Franchise’s Failures
Joan was very glad to see Jerry during his Golden bachelorette party appearance, but I wasn’t. Just hearing his voice again reminded me how much he deceived me after his season ended. Jerry didn’t even mention Teresa during their conversation.which was very strange. Additionally, Jerry asked Joan: “Have you considered the possibility that your boyfriend isn’t here?” Joan replied that she thought about it more before arriving there than after starting the journey.
Jerry then told Joan that if she could take into account the possibility that she would not find love, then she would be in the right place and in that aspect she would have an advantage over him. I thought this implied that Jerry forced himself to find love, which is why his relationship with Teresa didn’t work out.. While I was hopeful that Joan would be able to find true and everlasting love on the show, Jerry’s appearance immediately reminded me of the franchise’s many failures. I was pulled out of a fantasy world of love and romance and thrust into the reality of divorce and heartache.
Bachelor producers should correct their mistakes, not ignore them
They’ve made some serious mistakes over the past few years.
I believe Jerry’s inclusion in Joan’s list Golden bachelorette party season without mentioning his divorce, That Bachelor producers seem to be in denial about how much the franchise has declined in recent years.. Not only did they fail to properly vet Jerry, but they also made dangerous mistakes with other contestants, resulting in two men being cast on their show who had restraining orders filed against them – Jenn Tran. bachelorette party Season 1 winner Devin Strader (seven years ago) and Joan Golden bachelorette party participant Gil Ramirez (one week before the show began taping).
Moreover, the last two seasons Bachelor in Paradise failed, with each couple breaking up due to the show’s unnecessary and manipulative twists. I thought Joan’s season would be an opportunity for the entire franchise to reset and renew itself, but instead of admitting its mistakes, the producers included Jerry as if all the scandals around him did not exist. However, I shouldn’t have been surprised at their courage at that moment, because it’s so common for them, but for some reason I still couldn’t believe it.
After Jenn’s traumatic breakup with Devin, which was very difficult to watch, I was eagerly awaiting Joan’s season, hoping that I could take a break from the past stresses of the franchise’s series. However, meeting Jerry brought back all my doubts about the ability of these shows to continue to work. Just hearing his voice reminded me that much of what he said during Golden Bachelor maybe it was a lie and this made me doubt the authenticity Golden bachelorette party the contestants too, because we don’t know them as well as Joan yet, and they can be heartbreaking too.
Bachelor producers need to stop giving Jerry a platform. While I don’t think he’s as much of a villain as some make him out to be, I don’t think he’s a hero either. He was the center of attention and now it was Joan’s time to shine. I believe that Bachelor the producers should have tried to correct their past mistakes rather than remind viewers of them by including Jerry in Joan’s series. Golden bachelorette party season.
