I have a theory about Agatha all along That changes the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series, and it is also likely to be ignored. The series already started with several mysteries, including why Rio Vidal was unable to kill Agatha. However, I believe there is even more going on beneath the surface. I don’t know if I trust Agatha after the events of WandaVision And despite Kathryn Hahn’s charisma in the series, I have some concerns about her plans that leave me fearing for the future of the character and her coven.
Agatha was a compelling character in windovision, Which saw the old witch from Marvel Comics reimagined as something a little more unexpected. Outfitted with Agatha’s purple magic, The villain saw an exciting journey over the course of the previous series that led to her trying to steal Wanda’s magic while levitating above the city of Westview. The end of the bombastic series was compelling enough, but seems to have been forgotten in Agatha all alongWhere the character is presented as the protagonist. However, I don’t buy Agatha as a hero, and I don’t trust her in the show.
Why I believe Agatha was lying about the witches way
Agatha Harkness does not deserve to be trusted
Agatha claims that she has walked the witches’ road before in the premiere episodes of Agatha all alongBut I don’t believe it. Kathryn Hahn is a compelling performer, and there is much to be gleaned from her reactions. As the coven enters the road, Agatha seems surprised by almost everything she sees. The door closing behind her and sealing the Salem Seven from following her coven seems to confuse Agatha, and every facet of the Witch Road’s entrance seems to be something new and strange to her. I don’t think she’s seen this road before.
When the coven tries to knock on the door, it is not immediately. As if to save face, Agatha becomes extremely defensive, blaming everyone when it doesn’t seem to work, and trying to steal their powers by getting them to blast her. for this, She sends Tin out of the room, the only one who seems to know more about the witches way than her. It all seems like an attempt to cover up the fact that she hasn’t done this before and doesn’t know what’s going to happen. She tries to dismiss anyone who would know better so that her words can be taken at face value.

Most important, however, is the question of what exactly Agatha would have needed the witches’ road in the past. If she had traveled this road before, it would mean that there was something in her life that she was missing and desperately needed.. The Witches’ Road is not a journey that is taken lightly, especially when it seems that the Salem Seven have come after Agatha and her coven in the series. If Agatha had been on the Witches’ Road before, it seems strange that she would not have outlined her prior reason for the trip.
Evidence from episode 1 and 2 that Agatha has actually been to the witches way
There are also several points that suggest the MCU villain is telling the truth
Granted, some moments suggest that Agatha knows what she’s doing on the Witches’ Road at the end of Agatha all along Episode 2. When she takes off her shoes, it seems to suggest some knowledge of the path she is set to walk on. Still, walking barefoot to connect with the earth has been a common theme of pagan traditions over the years, and there is nothing to show that this was actually required to travel the path. This could simply be Agatha trying to manipulate the rest of her alliance into looking to her as their leader.
By insisting on the importance of removing their shoes, Agatha made it seem to her group that she knew what she was talking about. This could be a trick that would allow her to take power over the situation by pretending she knows what she’s doing. There is nothing about the fight that actually seems to be important to their being there, but by insisting that this is the case, Agatha makes herself more knowledgeable than the rest of the group, and thereby more empowered.
How my theory completely changes Agatha’s story all along
Full details of Agatha’s plans have yet to be revealed
Agatha is a manipulative witch, and this detail, if true, would change her story significantly. From Tin’s entrance to the series, it seemed that he wanted for her to take him on the road, and his convincing her led to her convincing others. However, much of this convincing was possible only because everyone believed that Agatha had been on the road before and had survived it. If this is not the case, then their entire journey is built on a lie.
Clearly, traveling along the Witches’ Road is an important journey for Agatha in the series. She was robbed of her powers, and it is certainly important for her to be able to get them back. With the witches’ road is a dangerous and terrible journey, It seems she needs a coven of witches to accompany her in order to survive. Perhaps this is what Agatha has been waiting for all this time, and she simply lied to make it happen.
Agatha All Along episodes 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Disney+; Episode 3 will be released on Wednesday, September 25 at 9:00 AM ET / 6:00 PM PT.
Where the story of Agatha goes is unclear exactly, but one cannot forget what the witch did in the past. During the flashback sequence of WandaVision, Agatha stole the powers of many of her own contemporaries. It would be foolish to think that she would not be willing to do it again, or sacrifice her new alliance to ensure that she gets to the end of the road. The lives that surround Agatha are not as important as she is to herself, and it will be compelling to see where the story takes her.
Of course, drama will follow when the other characters realize that Agatha is lying on the witches’ road, and this could create a good conflict in the series. Agatha is not to be trusted, and she has clearly shown a willingness to use and exploit people. Power is important to her, whatever the cost, and what she plans to do with her coven remains to be seen. Still, I’m waiting for Agatha all along To remind us all how little trust Agatha Harkness deserves.
