I don’t care if Daryl Dixon season 3 is set in Spain, this character needs to appear

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, episode 5.The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spent two seasons covering the apocalypse in France, but despite the spinoff’s change of location, I’m desperate to see a character return in season three. Seeing the franchise finally leave America and explore Europe was a breath of fresh air.as the French setting alongside the small passage through Greenland added a lot of fun ideas to the zombie universe. Despite that, Carol’s book is heading towards its climax and will therefore begin the spinoff’s transition to a new country as it Daryl Dixon season 3 will take place in Spain.

While it may be a little disappointing to see the franchise leave France, I’m excited for the new environment and can’t wait to see how the protagonists get there. Unfortunately, the change of scenery will also mean a predominantly new cast, suggesting that not everyone will make it to season three. The series has already killed off Losang and Genet, meaning the main antagonists will not return, while Sylvie and Isabelle Undead deaths also exclude them. Still, a surviving character remains a possibility for season three, and I really hope to see them join Daryl and Carol in Spain.

Codron deserves to appear in Daryl Dixon’s third season

The former antagonist became one of Daryl Dixon’s best characters

Having been introduced to the show as one of Daryl DixonCodron’s main antagonists, I thought I would hate Codron, but the series did a 180 on his character in the best way possible. Despite having Daryl and his allies killed at the end of Season 1, Codron let them go after Laurent told him “God loves you” while being held at gunpoint. He revealed that this was the reason for his change of heart in Season 2 and has already proven himself to be a valuable ally to Daryl and his group countless times since joining them.

In addition to helping Laurent escape when L’Union and Pouvoir came looking for him, the former antagonist also joined Daryl in fighting the villains in the French catacombs, giving Codron the perfect redemption arc in Daryl Dixon season 2. Seeing him use his combat and survival skills for good was incredibly satisfying, but it shouldn’t end here. After shaking hands with Daryl and seemingly going their separate ways, It’s unclear what’s next for Codron, but his compelling arc suggests he deserves a chance to appear in Season 3.even if he ends up sacrificing himself in Spain.

The Walking Dead’s Codron and Daryl make a surprisingly fun duo

Despite the rocky start, Daryl and Codron work well as a team

Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) shaking hands with Codron (Romain Levi) in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

Given that Codron’s main goal from the opening episode was to kill Daryl, I was pleasantly surprised by how well they worked together. Naturally, Daryl is skeptical about seeing Codron again when he reaches Demimonde, but with Laurent vouching for him, the protagonist agrees to work with his old enemy. Unfortunately, the pair don’t fight side by side, but seeing them eliminate members of L’Union and Pouvoir in the dark setting was fascinating. Furthermore, they both faced great villains during the scene, such as Daryl managed to kill Losang, while Codron incapacitated Jacinta before they left together with Laurent..

This fun duo could happen again in the final episode of season 2, which could solidify Codron and Daryl as one of the UndeadThe most underrated duos.

Watching them put their differences aside for the greater good and making sure Laurent was safe was a great scene, and I hope it’s not the last time they come together. With Norman Reedus hinting Daryl Dixon With the Season 2 finale being among the best episodes in the franchise’s history, I’m hoping for some explosive action that could give Codron a reason to return and help. So this fun pairing could happen again in the final episode of Season 2, which could cement Codron and Daryl as one of the UndeadThe most underrated duos, assuming they stay on the same page.

How Daryl Dixon Can Justify Codron’s Move to Spain in Season 3

Codron’s redemption could see him continue helping Daryl in the spinoff’s third season

Considering that Daryl and Carol are unlikely to have many allies willing to travel to Spain with them, the series has the perfect reason for Codron to join the protagonists. He’s still trying to make up for his past sins, and assisting Carol and Daryl on their mission would help continue his brighter path, especially if it helps Laurent. Regardless of what happens in the end, Daryl and Carol clearly won’t be returning to America given the season 3 confirmation, and if Laurent is still with them, Codron also heading to Spain makes perfect sense.

He has lost his family and is no longer part of any royal alliance, which means he is searching for a purpose. Guiding Laurent to America could be that, especially since Daryl and Carol only have Fallou, Anna and Ash to help, suggesting he would be more than welcome to join their mission. Without knowing how Daryl Dixon the end of season 2 will end, it’s not clear if he’ll still be alive at the end of the episode, but I think the character deserves an opportunity to continue his redemption by traveling to Spain alongside the protagonists.
