Marvel Comics posted the confirmation on X, along with more art depicting various events from the film and otherwise, announcing that the wait is finally over. This time, in addition to the novelization, we will be able to see these events visually, possibly giving more context to deleted scenes only described in the books, or visually portraying entirely new sequences.

The art that Marvel revealed contains some specific examples of expansion from the film that are worth noting. First, there's an interesting split page featuring Leia and Rey training on the same Ajan Kloss training course, followed by a wonderful panel of Kylo Ren in front of Vader's Castle on Mustafar, hopefully hinting at more elaboration on Ren's quest for Mustafar. Finally, there's a panel of the undead Emperor Palpatine on the operating table, which means the comic could show more about how Palpatine returned.
