I can’t believe how DC recreates one of the most heartbreaking Batman Images of all time. Over the course of 85 years, DC has released some spectacular Batman stories, and Year one Ranked as one of the best. Batman: Year One also inspired one of the most gut-wrenching images in Batman’s history, and now DC has given it an unbelievable makeover on the cover of Little Batman: Month One #1.

Little Batman Started as an animated movie on Amazon Prime, will spin off into its own series in 2025.

DC has revealed their solicitations for their November shipping titles, including Little Batman: Month One #1, written by Morgan Evans (screenwriter for the Little Batman movie) and directed by Jon Mikel. This book is a spin-off of those Little Batman film, which will be in theaters at Christmas.

John Byrne reworked the Superman mythos from the ground up and George Perez breathed new life into Wonder Woman. Frank Miller, hot off his run on titles such as Daredevil And Roninis tapped to ritual Batman’s backstory. Miller, who already had the classic Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Under his belt, together with David Mazzucchelli for Year one. As the name implies, the story tells the early days of Batman’s war on crime.

Despite the cute makeover, Mikel’s cover for Little Batman: Month One #1 still manages to convey the depth of the dilemma Damian finds himself in, as he struggles to reconcile being a hero with a secret identity.

Now, artist Jon Michael has given this heart-breaking image a decidedly cute and wholesome twist. Much like Bruce on the cover of Batman #404, Damian Wayne looks down, scared and confused. Whereas Bruce was slouched down, grieving his parents, Damian was left to ponder two life paths. Despite the cute makeover, Mikel’s cover for Little Batman: Month One #1 still manages to convey the depth of the dilemma Damian finds himself in, as he struggles to reconcile being a hero with a secret identity.
