Events in Superman and Lois look bleak for the heroes, with DC villain Lex Luthor adding insult to injury with the revelation of a lawsuit against Lois Lane. Superman and Lois season 4, episode 9 sets up some crucial storylines for the upcoming final episode of the entire show, closing with Superman facing Doomsday once again, much to his family’s concern. However, this wasn’t the only major event that happened in the episode, as Lex Luthor has several plans up his sleeve to take down the titular duo.
Michael Cudlitz created one of my favorite live-action versions of Lex Luthor, and the villain did a lot to cause problems for the series’ heroes. With disturbing plans that seem to be constantly two steps ahead, the villain’s every action has helped cement his version as one of the most evil versions of Lex Luthor ever seen. How this culminates in just one more episode held my attention, as things seem to be going surprisingly well for the fearsome villain.
Superman & Lois Season 4 Revealed That Lex Luthor Is Looking For Sue Lois
Season 4 of Superman and Lois brings a process to the history of the universe
Following their contentious relationship throughout the season, episode 9 revealed that Lex Luthor intends to sue Lois Lane for defamation. This follows all of her attempts to make people aware of the dangers Lex poses, including the reporting she has done on Lex and his underhanded schemes. Amanda reveals this plan directly to Lois, and while the rest of the episode distracts from this storyline, it’s definitely notable. With so much already hanging over their heads, the specter of a lawsuit is another terribly important blow for Lois and her family.
With the show wrapping up the extended Arrowverse, the implications of this process are potentially very upsetting, as there are no spinoffs or other series to follow the storyline. After rewriting DC lore with Superman’s identity being revealed to the world, the family took more horrific twists and turns at every turn of the show. A lawsuit against Lois that could stop her from spreading the truth – arguably her greatest passion and purpose – would be another horrific event that would have devastating effects on the family.

With just one episode left, it seems unlikely that Lex Luthor’s plan to prosecute Lois Lane will come to fruition. However, the idea is frightening and If things go completely wrong for the heroes, it could be part of the villain’s larger, destructive plan.. Lex Luthor could kill the Man of Steel at the end of the series, and if that occurs, he would be much more prepared to succeed. Even with Jonathan and Jordan determined to stop him as well, the possibility of his case being prosecuted would be much more likely without Superman.
I can’t imagine the series ending with Superman’s death once again, but it’s not impossible. With Doomsday returning and Sam Lane’s heart weakened, the idea of Superman dying forever at the end of the show is shockingly likely. I hope this doesn’t happen and that Lex’s lawsuit doesn’t move forward. However, both details are certainly possible for the story, as the series has brought many surprising twists throughout its history.

The ending promises to be big and explosive
The trailer for Superman and Lois’ The season finale gives a glimpse into the series’ final episode, and it seems unlikely that this lawsuit will take center stage. A lot is sure to happen to Lex in the finale as he gears up in a super suit to fight the heroes. With the return of Judgment Day raising the stakes even further, this final conflict could result in the death of Lex Luthor. I believe this could be done satisfactorily, with great care for the show’s history, while also nullifying its process.
If this does not occur, and if Lex survives until the end of the show, it seems likely that he will destroy his own reputation. This version of the villain is unable to resist performing evil deeds and reveling in the pain he causes Superman. By the end of the series, this final battle will likely be seen by many across the world, and if Lex Luthor decides to be himself and carry out truly devious actions, it seems likely that audiences will see just how valid Lois’s reporting on him was. making your process invalid.
The end of Superman and Lois has a lot to live up to and looks set for a truly exciting finale for the CW series. Lex’s plans to sue Lois add an interesting aspect to this story, although it seems likely that this plan won’t amount to much. – or at least I hope that’s the case. There is a limit to what the heroes of Superman and Lois will be able to cope in their final episode, and I sincerely hope things work out for them in the end.
