Below deck Mediterranean is one of the most enjoyable reality shows on television, but I think the production plants are ruining the spin-off in season 9. Captain Sandy Yawn leads the crew on the Mustique again, and while familiar fan-favorite Chief Stav Aesha Scott was . A welcome addition, the rest of the cast was a bit of a mess. Elena “Ellie” Dubach and Bree Mueller are feuding over mediocre lead deck, Joe Bradley, Bree can’t get the laundry done right, and Eli might start a war with Aesha over Ray.
The mess on Below deck Mediterranean Season 9 doesn’t stop there. Chef Johnathan “Jono” Shillingford nearly killed a guest by serving her raw seafood after a rocky start to the charter season, and Bosun Iain Maclean has some of the worst communication and leadership skills the franchise has ever seen. Captain Sandy is out of her depth, failing to replace Chef Jono and calling in new cook Carrie O’Neill as a Hail Mary to save her interior crew. While drama is expected, the producers are too far in Below deck Mediterranean Season 9.
Below Deck Med season 9 seems more produced compared to past seasons
There are also many producer plants
I can’t be the only one watching Below deck Mediterranean And thinking that the show is more produced compared to past seasons. It’s no secret that reality TV shows are heavily edited and influenced by producers, however Below deck Mediterranean Season 9 is out of control. How did Chef Jono miss a raw seafood allergy on the guest page? How is it possible for Bree to be so bad at laundry? Joe walked around the boat in a stinky shirt because Bree was unable to get crew uniforms back to their owners despite the clear labeling of their names.
The alleged producer plants the show fake
Bree needs to go
Chef Jono and Bri are alleged producers, and the evidence is quite clear. There is no way Captain Sandy would allow such incompetence to run rampant on her yacht otherwise. While there seems to be no replacement for Chef Jono, this is likely a way to stir up drama on the show.
The producer plants are ruining Below deck Mediterranean; It’s insulting to fans’ intelligence.
Additionally, although Captain Sandy notes that she has never fired an entry-level stew, Bree is terrible. Doing the laundry, while a huge task on a luxury yacht like the Mustique, shouldn’t be that difficult. When Bree is given feedback, she simply crumbles. She speaks with a whiny voice and consistently victimizes herself. Why wasn’t Bree fired? In my opinion, Bree is a productive plant to antagonize Ali and provoke drama.
Below deck viewers want the real drama, not something manufactured
Let the crew members be themselves
below deck Fans want real drama, not something created by the producers. Putting half a dozen twenty things, many of them unique, together on a boat for a summer, should create enough of its own drama. Producers don’t need to step in to make a chef or a stew look bad; They will do it themselves throughout the season.

Chef Jono seems like a competent chef most of the time, and it’s offensive to stir up drama by confirming him to quit. Besides, Brie just isn’t entertaining anymore. It’s also obvious that she was planted by producers to mess with everyone else. hope, Below deck Mediterranean Producers will learn their lesson.
