Love is blind UK Took the reality TV world by storm, and I’m convinced it was far better than none Love is blind iteration so far, US it. Or otherwise. The couples who have made it out of the pods are genuine, mature people with whom it is easy to empathize. The mere fact that six couples made it to the altar makes the U.S. it. version pales in comparison. With sexual harassment and production blunders abound, Love is blind Season 5 only saw two couples make it to their wedding day, and season 6 didn’t fare much better.
Fans watched six couples embark on the journey of a lifetime Love is blind UK Season 1, featuring Katherine Richards and Freddie Powell, Demi Santana Brown and Ollie Sutherland, Maria Bench and Tom Stroud, Sabrina Vittoria and Steven Smith, Nicole Stevens and Beniah Grunwald Bridy, and Bobby Johnson and Jasmine Let The Pods Engage. While everyone seemed to have smooth sailing heading into the honeymoon episodes, not everyone said yes at the altar. As fans expect Love is blind Season 7’s release on October 2nd, it’s time to talk about that Love is blind UK was much better.
Love is blind UK is more authentic
Love is blind UK Felt more real from start to finish. The couples seemed to really suit each other and, apart from Sam Klein, they did not try to make sure the appearance of the person on the other side of the wall in the pods. moreover, Contestants are respectful to each otherEspecially when there were issues about dating the same person. For example, Demi still treats Catherine fondly, even when she finds out they are both dating Ollie. Freddie is also open to Catherine having a discussion with Ollie on the honeymoon part instead of being jealous.
Love is blind UK has better drama
Because everyone was more authentic, The drama was much better on Love is blind UK. Sam confronting Beniah at the pod squad outing about Nicole allegedly wanting to sleep with him was shocking, and yet, it still felt real rather than manufactured by producers. The drama between Maria and Tom about traditional gender roles was a more genuine conversation that still created some intense drama.
Producers need to stop forcing drama and let issues crop up naturally.
Ollie and Demi’s communication issues mirror those of a real couple rather than an outrageous, explosive blowout usually seen on reality TV. Finally, Catherine created enough drama of her own by telling Freddie not to “Love her like a dog“, an awkward moment that was still, unfortunately, genuine.
Love Is Blind UK did a better job in casting
Overall, I think Love is blind UK Is ultimately better because the producers didn’t mess up the casting. Tran Dong, a cast member of Love is blind season 5, is still in a trial due to sexual assault perpetrated by her ex-fiancé. Moreover, Renee Poche, another Love is blind Season 5 cast member, her storyline was cut after she was forced to stay with her abusive ex-fiancé, Carter Wall. While Chelsea Blackwell’s rejection of Trevor Sova was upsetting at the time, it turned out that he had a girlfriend at home.
