Hulu's TV Spinoff to Gerard Butler's 3.5M Franchise Breaks Huge Rotten Tomatoes Record

Paris fellthe Hulu television series derived from Gerald Butler's hit films, sets a new record for the action franchise. Hulu won the US rights to Paris fell in October, with episodes debuting in December. The story centers on Vincent Taleb (played by Tewfik Jallab), a protection officer for a French minister. The French officer becomes the target of a terrorist group, leaving Vincent to work with MI6 agent Zara (Ritu Arya) to keep the politician safe. But it isn't long before a deeper conspiracy is uncovered, threatening the city of Paris itself.

Paris fell has the best Rotten tomatoes score of any entry in the It fell franchise, currently at 86% based on 7 reviews. The score is likely to fluctuate as more reviews are added, although the score is relatively high with only one negative review to date.

What the Rotten Tomatoes Score Means for Paris Has Dropped

TV reviews are a little different

Consisting of eight episodes, Paris fell was written by Howard Overman. It is produced by StudioCanal, Urban Myth Films, Millennium Media and G-BASE, with the latter two companies also behind the film. It fell film franchise. The franchise, with Butler playing Mike Banning, consists of three entries and collectively grossed $523 million worldwide. But the consensus recognizes that it is elevated by Fuqua's direction and Butler's leadership performance. The sequels, London fell in 2016, and Angel fell in 2019, it fell to 28% and 39%, respectively. Audience scores for the third film showed an increase in favorability.

It is worth noting that TV reviews in 2024 are markedly different from movie reviews of a 2010s blockbuster. Each film has around 200 reviews, while Paris fell will be revised much less. In general, in the current era, TV shows are reviewed less frequently than big movies. This is doubly true for a smaller international series. It's easier to Paris fell to get a good score based on fewer reviews. Reviews of the French spinoff underline that it's an enjoyable watch, with Greg MacArthur TelaRant review calling it a “ffull-bodied and cinematic.”
