After Jun-ho infiltrates the Games, squid game The first season's finale reveals that the person running them is his brother, Hwang In-ho. The two exchange ideas before In-ho shoots him, sending Jun-ho off a cliff. Viewers knew he would survive the fall when he was confirmed for the cast of squid game season 2. However, Jun-ho's means of survival were unclear.
Happily, squid game season 2 explains what happens to the detective after being shot in the shoulder. The Season 2 premiere begins with him working as a traffic cop, but he's still committed to finding the mysterious island where the Games take place. It's clear that his boss and fellow detectives don't have enough evidence to hear him. However, there is one person willing to search the island with Jun-ho, and it is the same man responsible for his survival in season 1.

It turns out that Captain Park is sailing near the island and pulls Jun-ho out of the water. It's lucky that Captain Park is so close, as it's hard to imagine how Jun-ho would have made it back to Seoul otherwise. Unfortunately, Captain Park and Jun-ho are unable to locate the island again after returning home.
Jun-ho asked Captain Park to help him search for the island, but he never found it.

In fact, even though Jun-ho's colleagues in law enforcement do nothing about the Games, Captain Park takes him seriously. The two continue searching for the island where they take place, and "Bread and Lottery" shows them trying another location without much luck.
Captain Park seems a little frustrated with the joint mission they've embarked on, when he asks Jun-ho, "Why did I have to pull you out of the water that day and end up risking my life doing this shit for nothing?"He also notes that there are hundreds of islands near the place where he found Jun-howhich explains why that one remains so elusive. Of course, it would be difficult to organize a secret tournament without being well hidden. Fortunately, it looks like Jun-ho will continue his hunt in squid game 2nd season.
