Vegeta's inability to use Super Saiyan 3 has always been a deal breaker for fans, so seeing this finally happen after so many years is one of the best developments Dragon ball fan could have asked.
Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta is great to look at after so many years, and what makes it even better is the presentation. The great animation and direction of the fight between Vegeta and Tamagami Number Two was one thing, but more than that, the physical presentation of Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta is great as it features one of Akira Toriyama's oldest Dragon ball concepts for life. This is especially good to see after Toriyama's death, and is yet another demonstration of why Dragon Ball Daima It's been such a fun series to watch.

The Genius Behind Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta Explained
A notable feature of Vegeta's Super Saiyan 3 form is how different it is from that of Goku and Gotenks; Vegeta's hair, while long, is not so long that it cascades down his back, and is even spikier than other versions, to the point where his hair looks like a star from certain angles. This change in design doesn't come out of nowhere, however, as one of Akira Toriyama's first designs for Super Saiyan 3 resembles Vegeta's Super Saiyan 3 form, which means Akira Toriyama used Dragon Ball Daima canonize one of the original Super Saiyan 3 concepts by giving it to Vegeta.
This idea is a big part of why Vegeta's Super Saiyan 3 form is so great. Not only does this help Vegeta stand out from Goku and Gotenks, but since Vegeta's Super Saiyan 3 form is based on ancient concept art, there is an intelligence to his appearance, being so different from the norm, plus Akira Toriyama simply wanting to do the same. Super Saiyan 3 looks a little different for Vegeta. Everything about Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta does wonders to make him unique in the most thoughtful way possiblemaking the long wait for its appearance worth it.

A big part of why Dragon Ball Daima was so fun is that the strengths of his writing seem even greater knowing that it was the last thing Akira Toriyama worked on before he died, so Dragon Ball Daima Using Akira Toriyama's original Super Saiyan 3 design with Vegeta is another example of how great it feels to bring Toriyama's vision to life. This idea makes Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta an even bigger part of the Dragon Ball Daima and Dragon ballas a whole, and hopefully it won't be the last example of this kind of excellent writing.

Dragon Ball DAIMA is the fifth series overall in the action-adventure anime franchise. It features most of the classic cast members as aged versions of themselves, including Goku, Vegeta, and Bulma. The series was announced at NYCC 2023, with creator Akira Toriyama returning to manage DAIMA.
