How to wrap gifts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Wrapping your gifts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons It's a cute and fun way to show your friends that you really care about surprising them, and it's worth taking the time – and Bells – to do so. New Horizons allows players to send gifts to each other by mail or through online meetings. Adding Wrapping Paper to Your Gifts It doesn't really change anything in terms of gameplaybut it helps with roleplaying and can be used to add some excitement to minigames or just for general gifting.

If you have friends to play with Animal crossing Minigames, wrapping gifts as prizes add a bit of mystery and excitement. Or, for the festive season, you could even send wrapped gifts in the post every day in December to create a mail-in advent calendar. For those who have already used Nookazon, you must have also seen gifts wrapped like mystery bagswhere players don't know what they bought from the seller until they open each one.

Where to buy wrapping paper and how it works

How to wrap your gifts

It couldn't be simpler to buy wrapping paper in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. All you need to do is go to Nook's Cranny and check the cabinet found to the right of the store. Scroll through the products Timmy and Tommy have for sale that day until you find the wrapping paper packages. Each one should cost 160 bells and will wrap a gift, or they can be purchased in volumes of five. The colors available on any given day are random, so if you don't see the color you're hoping for, come back another day.

Once you've purchased the wrapping paper, make sure you have the item you want to gift in your inventory. Highlight the wrapping paper, select “wrap” and select the gift. The gift will then be wrapped and can be passed on to your friends, villagers and also sent by post. Make sure you don't unwrap your gift though – you'll have to repurchase the paper and re-wrap it if you do!
