Final Fantasy: XIV has officially released its newest Alliance Raid with the 7.1 Crossroads update. Echoes of Vana’diel is the first section of Dawntrail’s Alliance Raid, in which players enter into three groups of eight players. However, before entering the first level of the latest raid, players must complete a few missions to unlock the ability to queue.
Echoes of Vana’diel is particularly exciting for many players because it finally cross FFXIV with the first MMORPG in Final Fantasy series: FFXI. If you’re ready to explore a new area that might have a touch of nostalgia depending on whether you played FFXIfirst you need to be level 100 in any Disciple of War or Magic class, complete the Dawn trail MSQ, and have an item level of 695 to enter the raid. Once you meet these conditions, it’s time to head to Tuliyollal.
How to unlock Vana’diel Echoes
Accept “An encounter from another world”
First, you need to go to the Aetheryte in Tuliyollal. You will find a Hoobigo Messenger nearby at coordinates (13, 11.5) with a mission titled “An Encounter from Another World”. He asks you to go to Mamook and talk to Miilal Ja, so that’s your next destination, using Aetheryte travel once again. Miilal Ja is west of Mamook Aetheryte, and she explains that they found an Elezen unconscious and rambling about matters they don’t understand. So, she hopes you can understand this.
Elezen doesn’t remember his name or how he ended up with Mamook. However, you have more pressing matters to attend to. You have been directed to speak to Bakool Ja Ja. After that, you’ll only have a few moments of cutscene and conversations until you receive a message that Jeuno: The First Walk is available, which is the name of the first section of Vana’diel.
How looting works in Jeuno: the first walk
A familiar system for new attacks
How the attack on the Kingdom Myths in Endwalkeryou can catch one Jeuno: The First Walk gear reward per week. Once more sections are released, you will be able to get an equipment reward from each section, although the next section of FFXIVThe Arcadion raid will likely be released before more Vana’diel content. If you queue up using the Duty Finder, you will also receive some Allagan Tomestones, which can be used to purchase even more gear items.
Vana’diel finally arriving in Eorzea is exciting, but you may have a long wait depending on when you queue up for Jeuno: The First Walk. Be warned that the fights in this raid include a lot of mechanics, and the chaos of these fights can be overwhelming the first few times you run it. Once you’ve finished the raid, you’ll probably want to continue the missions after it to prepare for when the next section is added to the Final Fantasy XIV.
