A new boost system comes to Zombies mode Call of Duty: Black Ops 6with Ammo Mods being one of the three types you can unlock. Along with field upgrades and perks, ammo mods provide passive buffs that can help you survive waves of undead as they get tougher. Ammo Mods change the bullets your weapon fires, adding new effects or elemental damage against your enemies.
Player progression in CoD: Black Ops 6 gives you more chances to get Augments on Zombies, including different types of Ammo Mods. In total, there are five different types of ammo mods you can get, each with unique effects applied to whatever weapon you’re wielding. Ammo Mods are not limited to a specific type of weapon, so don’t worry about any loadouts limiting which ones you can use.
How to unlock ammo mods
Reach different progression levels
You can unlock all different types of Ammo Mod reaching different account levels inside Zombies mode CoD: Black Ops 6. Simply playing matches and trying to beat zombie rounds will help you get all the upgrades you want. However, you will still have to find each Ammo Mod on a Zombies map before you can start using them.
Ammo mods are dropped as rare loot of stronger zombie types, especially much stronger variants like the Abomination. You can also spend Salvage to get an Ammo Mod from Arsenal Machines, which exchanges Essence for different equipment. These devices have defined spawn locations on the Terminus and Liberty Falls maps in CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies, so take the time to find out where they are.
Salvage is another currency earned when you defeat zombie enemies, dropping randomly as you shoot various undead. More save drops when you deal critical hitsSo shoot zombies heads and release explosives to farm as much as you can. If you’re playing with a team, remember that save loot is based on individual operators, meaning everyone gets their share.
Similar to how you earn Ammo Mods in the first place, you can earn Minor and Major Enhancements to upgrade these Enhancements. There are three minor and three major upgrades you can unlock to improve ammo mods. They are obtained when your account level increases, but you should know the basic effect of each Ammo Mod before you start researching upgrades.
How to use all ammo mods
Understand the effect of each increase
Each Ammo Mod adds an elemental type of damage to the bullets you firechanging how you deal damage to zombies. Most of these enhancements have secondary effects that apply to specific types of zombies, often randomly with whatever weapon is in use. CoD: Black Ops 6 you use. Smaller or larger boosts can make these effects even better, allowing you to create builds centered around whatever type of Ammo Mod you choose to use. For example, a shotgun built in CoD: Black Ops 6 can work really well with Napalm Burst as a way to increase the overall damage you do to enemies.
You can perform research between Zombies mode matches to unlock the upgrades you want, but remember that you still need to find Ammo Mods during a round. To unlock all Ammo Mods and stack them on top of each other, you still need to spend Salvage or defeat enemies in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies.
