How to solve the gold and silver path forges

There are many puzzles in Indiana Jones and the Great Circlebut two of the most confusing to solve are those associated with the Silver and Gold Forges. These two areas lie on separate paths under the Fountain of Confession area. To progress the story, you need to find the solutions to both Forges, whose raging fires can spell a quick end if you're not careful.

The hidden route beneath the Fountain of Confession leads to the Monastery Courtyard area after a corridor trapped with swinging blades. Passing through the Chamber of Tribulations leads to a locked door, which can only be opened when two mechanisms are activated. These devices can be reached via the Silver and Gold Dragon Paths, with each hosting a puzzle tied to fire forges in both locations.

How to solve gold path forge

Adjust pillar positions to light fires

The Path of the Golden Dragon leads to the Golden Forge, which is to the right of the locked main door in the Monastery Courtyard. Your goal here is turn on the Golden Forge to make the Golden Keyone of two items needed to unlock the path forward. Once you've taken the right path to start the Gold Forge puzzle, continue down the hallway in this area until you see a stone wall with a hole you can crawl through.

Here are some simplified steps to solve the Gold Forge puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle:

  1. Place the antique bust on a pedestal
  2. Use chains to move pillars until they create flames
  3. Use the whip to swing from a pillar
  4. Have Gina move the pillar near the top hole in the gold forge
  5. Climb into the hole in the upper wall
  6. Fall into the hole in the ground
  7. Use chains in the new room to adjust the remaining pillars
  8. Pull the lever to activate the Gold Forge
  9. Create the Golden Key

Crawl along the wall and place the Antique Bust on a nearby pedestal to unlock the rest of the Golden Dragon path. Climbing up some stairs here will reveal a chain you can pull to reveal the Gold Forge, a hot room with fire coming from beneath several steel grates lining the room's floor. Four pillars are hanging from the ceiling here, which you need to move to certain positions.

Make sure you have completed side quests to improve your health and stamina when you reach the Gold or Silver Forges. The fire here can seriously injure Indiana, so be careful when walking through both spaces.

Walking to the other side of this room, you will see another locked door that you need to open. On the left side of this door you can see a narrow path with chains that control the positions of the Forge room pillars. To begin with, use the chains on this path to move pillars to positions where fire appears under them.

When you have done this, attach your whip to a post near the ceilingthen climb up and jump onto one of the pillars. At this point, your companion Gina will move the pillar towards a hole in the upper wall, where you can use your whip to climb up. Enter the hole in the wall and jump through the hole in the floor to end up in another hallway with chains controlling the remaining pillars.

Make each pillar have flames under them adjusting its position with the remaining chains. On the right side of the hallway you fell into, another chain can now be pulled to open a path back to the main Forge. Here, you can use the lever inside the Forge to open the locked door, completing your puzzle and allowing you to activate the Golden Forge to create the Golden Key.

The path to the left of the Monastery Courtyard leads to the Silver Dragon path, an area you may want to explore first with your camera. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This area is a single room much bigger than the Golden Forgewith a large altar in the center. Steel grates line the ground just below three platforms – one in the center and two more on the right and left ends of this location.

Here's a breakdown of each step to solving the Silver Forge puzzle:

  1. Find the Stone Tablet
  2. Place the Stone Tablet on the Main Altar
  3. Swing to another stone shrine
  4. Give the Stone Tablet to Gina
  5. Use the nearby ledges to climb back up to the main altar
  6. Swing to the shrine at the opposite end of the Silver Forge
  7. Get Gina's tablet
  8. Place the Stone Tablet in the Sanctuary
  9. Return to the main altar
  10. Exit the Silver Forge and craft the Silver Key

Before entering this room, take the Stone Tablet of a skeleton. When you're ready, place the Tablet in a slot inside the main altar. This causes the Forge to start, setting the room on fire and trapping you behind iron bars. You have to activate all altars in the room with stone tablets to find a way out without Indiana burning to the ground.

Use your whip to swing to the platform away from the main altar. to find another stone tablet over a shrine. Take this pill and delivered to Gina between the iron bars of the room. At this point, you can climb a collapsed pillar and hang from a ledge lined with ancient pottery. Walk along this platform until you reach the main altar platform again, then drop down to this fire-protected spot.

Similar to other mysteries in Indiana Jones and the Great Circleyou will have to rely on your trusty whip once again. Use your whip to swing to the shrine on the other side of the main altar and retrieve the Tablet you gave to Gina. Place this tablet in a shrine identical to the one where you found it. Doing so will cause the flames to grow stronger, but will lower the iron bars and allow you to escape.

After returning to the main altar, go through the iron bars and the open gate which was locked in the Silver Forge before. By going through here, you can activate the Silver Forge as a reward for completing its puzzle. This process crafts the Silver Key, the last item you need to progress through this underground area.

Insert the golden and silver keys into the ornate door of the monastery courtyard to progress through the game's story. After solving the Gold and Silver path puzzles in Indiana Jones and the Great Circleyou will have the opportunity to discover more secrets as you continue the main story.
