One of the first important decisions you will need to make in Throne and Freedom it’s what weapons you will use for your character. This choice will also determine your character build by defining the skills you will have access to and the role you will play as you team up with other players to face difficult bosses and participate in dungeons.
While there are several ways to increase your character’s power level and customize their build, one of the most essential is to increase your weapon mastery. Increasing Mastery will require you to gain Weapon Mastery EXP and will take time to accumulate enough to max out your Mastery level (currently level 16). Therefore, Starting early is key when mastering weaponsSo choose your weapons in advance and stick to them.
What is mastery of arms in Throne and Liberty?
Unlocking your weapon’s true potential
Weapon Mastery is a leveling system tied to each weapon type in the game: Dagger, Longbow, Crossbow, Staff, Wand and Tome, Sword and Shield, and Greatsword. When you gain enough Weapon Mastery XP, you will level up and gain a Weapon Mastery point. These points can then be invested to unlock passive skills in the Weapons Mastery skill tree. Each weapon’s skill tree has three different branches, each with nine passive skills to unlock.
To access the Weapon Mastery skill tree, go to the skills menu. The two types of weapons you have equipped will appear in the middle of the screen with a number showing the mastery level and an EXP bar showing the amount of Weapon Mastery EXP each weapon currently has. Clicking on one of the weapons will take you to the Weapon Mastery skill tree. Spend Weapon Mastery Points to Unlock passive skills that will give you the bonuses that best increase your character’s build.
How to accumulate weapon mastery points
Completing contracts and clearing dungeons
According to the game’s information guide, There are two ways to gain Weapon Mastery XP: hunting in Field Dungeons and using Training Dew.
- Field Dungeons, such as Syleus’ Deep, can be found while exploring the open world. Hunting in these dungeons will cause you to slowly consume Abyssal Contract Tokens, allowing you to gain Weapon Mastery EXP for each monster you kill.
- Training Dew is a consumable item which, when used, grants a large amount of Weapon Mastery EXP to your equipped weapons. There are several ways to get Training Dew in Throne and Freedom: completing Contracts, competing in the Infinity Gate, and defeating bosses in Co-op Dungeons.
The best way to farm Weapon Mastery EXP is to check with your local contract manager and choose contracts that you can complete quickly and deliver to Training Dew. Once you’ve exhausted your contractual rights (you can have up to 60 saves at once), you’ll want to move on to working some dungeons.
This can be a rewarding activity for more than just Weapon Mastery XP, as you’ll earn Sollant and even have the chance to obtain exclusive equipment, as seen in Supastar Gaming Sofavideo on YouTube. Howeveryou will need to have Abyssal Contract Tokens to gain Weapon Mastery XP. If you run out of Abyssal Contract Tokens, you can get more by completing Dynamic Events or Endurance Contracts.
Once you’ve mastered your weapons of choice, you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to tweak other aspects of your character. Navigate to the Skills page to enhance your favorite weapon skills and unlock even more passive weapon skills in the Skill Specialization menu to further increase the effectiveness of your character build.
