How to get Shuri’s Black Panther Claw in Fortnite

Shuri’s Black Panther Claws are the latest Marvel-themed weapon to arrive Fortnite Chapter 5: Season 4. These powerful melee weapons can be used to hack and slash your opponents, and it’s not just Shuri who can wield them. Any character can try them, whether you play as superhero Spider-Man or pop superstar Ariana Grande.

Joining the likes of Captain America’s shield and War Machine’s arsenal, Shuri’s Black Panther Claws have been added to the Fortnite Loot pool after the v31.10 update on September 4, 2024. The powerful weapons allow you to run faster, jump higher and attack your opponents with lightning speed. If you want to get your hands on them, there is one person you should talk to.

Where to find Shuri’s Black Panther Claw

Search Avengers chests or talk to Shuri

The quickest way to get Shuri’s Black Panther Claw is to Buy them from Shuri himself. This wandering NPC can be found east of the Nitrodrome location on the Fortnite Map, just over the river. As well as selling flowberries and a rift to go, Shuri will also provide you with a pair of Black Panther Claws. If you are willing to give over 300 gold bars. She only has one pair in stock, so make sure you get there before your opponents do.

If Shuri isn’t in camp or you’ve landed too far away to talk to her, your next best option is to Search Avengers chests. You can usually find some of them in any name, such as Castle Doom or Restored Reels, but you may be better off going to a quieter location like Rebel’s Roost so you have less competition. Avengers chests are guaranteed to contain a superhero weapon, but it won’t always be Shuri’s Black Panther Claw.

I haven’t been able to get them that way since the weapon was live in the game, so I’d recommend buying them from Shuri or searching Avengers Chests instead, where possible.

How to use Shuri’s Black Panther Claw

Perform a basic slash or pounce on your opponents

There are three different functions you can perform with Shuri’s Black Panther Claw. Pressing the target button (eg L2 on PS5) while standing or walking around will hit with a Basic chop. This can be pressed multiple times in a row to unleash a series of slashes in quick succession. Pressing the target button while sprinting or airborne will unleash a Pawns attackDiving towards your opponent and striking them down.

Finally, pressing the shoot button (eg R2 on PS5) will start Supercharge ClauseWhich powers up your slash and pounce attacks for a short time. You can only use this once Shuri’s Black Panther Claws have reached 100%, which will happen slowly over time after you collect them. Once you’ve initiated Supercharge Claw, a purple meter will appear, showing how long you have left until the damage boost expires.

You’ll also run faster and jump higher when you have Shuri’s Black Panther Claw equipped and use Supercharge Claw, which is a nice little boost if you’re trying to get away from a dangerous situation or rush attack an opponent. It will be interesting to see how they stack up against the other Marvel weapons FortniteSome of them have already been nerfed for their excesses.
