PoE 2 has been highly anticipated since its announcement due to the huge success of the original game. Although the sequel is in an early access state where content will be released slowly, many new features have already been shown off. One of these features is the slower, more mechanics-focused combat that made PoE2 feel like a soul.
Another of the biggest changes is the way Skills work in Path of Exile 2. Instead of being equipped into armor slots with support gems tied to them, this has been moved to a separate tab. This tab allows nine different skill gems and two to five support gems for each. Some weapon skill gems or Ascension classes may also appear here without taking up one of the nine slots.

Fortunately, there are countless ways to acquire these powerful passive buffs. The least reliable way is to farm rare monsters. This option will appear occasionally, but it will not be a consistent method for getting drops. This can be supplemented by loot rooms and specific quests that will reward a unique support gem. However, since Early Access only has three acts, the only current loot room to acquire a gem is the Golden Tomb in Act 2.
After these methods, The best way to get guaranteed support gems is from specific boss fights. This change is a blessing to reduce the routine of PoE2which can sometimes be annoying when it comes to getting all kinds of skill gems. They will likely be expanded once the game launches, but are currently limited to two. These bosses are:

Uncut spirit gems activate them and generate a list of spirit abilities. It is better to limit yourself to the skills of the selected class, but nothing prevents you from choosing one of the skills of another class. Once selected, it can be entered into the Skill tab and activated. Keeping a Spirit gem functioning will consume a certain amount of the character's Spirit. This isn't a high price to pay, but it can be tricky with some classes like the Witch who use Spirit to create minions.
Spirit can be increased in several ways to help with various builds. The only permanent way is to defeat certain bosses spread across the map. So far, there are only two bosses that reward Spirit boosts, and those are the Mist King and the Swamp Witch. Although this method is currently limited, the upside is that most classes don't need a high Spirit cap.
The other way to increase Spirit is through items limited to specific Scepters and Amulets.. The first is due to the fact that they are crucial for building witch minions, so it increases Spirit to levels that you don't need for other classes. Amulets are a great addition if you want multiple spirit abilities or an additional boost for minion builds.
Spiritual skills are a fundamental part of having a proper build PoE2 with all its differences PoE. They can be a significant way to stay alive or a crucial part of a character's overall damage. Stacking them is a fantastic perk and elevates these passive buffs to a level above what they would be if they were capped. It will be interesting to see what other abilities or spirit changes occur during early access, but here's how you can get and use more spirit gems in Path of Exile 2.
