    How to Arrange a Funeral in The Sims 4: Life and Death

    With the addition of The Sims 4: Life and Death expansion, players can bring a melancholy new social event to their Sims, and that’s organizing a funeral. As with weddings, organizing a funeral allows you to bring your Sims together for a special moment, adding another layer of reality to this simulated world.

    To arrange a funeral, you must first have purchased and installed the Life and Death expansion and the base game. Once downloaded, the Sims 4 The expansion offers new careers, build mode items, and activities centered around honoring the cycle of life.

    To begin planning a funeral, as morbid as it may seem, one of your Sims must die. Once they take on ghostly form, all that’s left to do is receive the inheritance, if any, and plan the funeral. To do this, like most social events in Sims 4, you just need to open the calendar and select the “Add Funeral Event” option in the bottom left corner.

    From here, you will be taken to a new screen where you can customize aspects of your funeral. The Sim you control will automatically be spawned as the host of the event, but you will be able to select the deceased who will be honored, as well as guests, a hired mourner, and an artist. Be sure to double-check your deceased Sim’s willas some Sims may have specified that they would prefer a certain thing at their funeral, such as a performance.

    As for more details, you will also be able to select whether you want them to wear a certain attire to the attendance and whether there is a dress code or not, meaning you can have everyone show up in traditional mourning attire if you wish. After selecting all the details, you will move to the next screen where you will have to choose at least three activities for the Sims 4 funeral.

    Again, when selecting activities, this is a good time to consult the will if your Sim has something specific in mind for their service. Outside of will requests, there is no wrong selection; you can choose the activities you want. After finishing everything, The last thing to do is choose the location and time of the funeral before finishing using the check in the bottom right corner.

    Now that your funeral has been set, you should see an icon on the calendar for the day you selected. When the time for the event arrives, you will receive a notification that the event is coming up and you will need to go to the location. While attending the funeral, you can honor your Sim by completing selected activitiesdecorating the casket, changing the photo display, and even dedicating the memorial to your family or another Sim.
