How powerful is Star Wars Rebels Kanan Jarrus compared to Luke Skywalker?

Star Wars Rebels Cannon Jarrus Was one of the few Jedi to survive Order 66, but how powerful he was compared to Luke Skywalker? Audiences were introduced to Kanan Jarrus, formerly known as Caleb Dume, in the first episode of Star Wars Rebels“A Spark of Rebellion: Part One.” At that time, Khan was still in hiding. Although he worked with an independent Rebel cell, he kept his identity as a Jedi a secret until he was forced to wield his lightsaber to rescue a group of Wookiee prisoners. He then took on Ezra Bridger as an apprentice, and the rest is history.

With the Ghost Crew and his new Padawan at his side, Kanan manages to put a real dent in the Empire’s plansRescue Force-sensitive children from the Inquisitors, steal weapons and supplies from the Empire and give them back to less fortunate communities, and more. We all know that Luke Skywalker is also a massive asset to the Rebellion, however, having destroyed the Death Star after a few days of training with Obi-Wan Kenobi. So, which of the two post-order 66 Jedi was more powerful overall?

Kanan Jarrus’ greatest feats prove he was a powerful Jedi

throughout Star Wars RebelsKanan performed many incredible feats as a Jedi. He managed to kill the Grand Inquisitor – one of the most powerful and loyal servants of Darth Vader – he survived a duel with Darth Maul, he learned to embrace the force and his power despite being blinded in his duel with Maul , and he managed to hold back. An explosive inferno long enough to save his friends’ lives. He was an undeniably powerful Jedi, though his training was cut short by the Empire’s rise to power.

Kanan’s greatest feat, however, was his bond with his Padawan, Ezra. Despite the terror of Order 66 and the trauma resulting from the Jedi’s genocide, Kanan remained steadfast in his beliefsTeach Ezra to embrace the Force and the Jedi Order’s core tenets without letting the darkness or his inner turmoil overwhelm him. Kanan even fell in love and attached himself to his friends without turning to the dark side, because he understood the most important lesson: when to let go. He passed this lesson on to Ezra, and the galaxy became safer because of it.

Luke Skywalker was much more powerful than Kanan

A Jedi’s power level is an elusive and subjective concept – how can you really measure a Jedi’s strength? Is it the number of Force-related abilities they can wield, the strength of their strongest defeated opponent, their ability with a lightsaber, their general wisdom and knowledge of the Force, or the way they handle the most profound emotional obstacles? In fact, it is a combination of all these reasons and more. No one Jedi is the same as another.

Despite Kanan’s undeniably impressive feats and abilities as a Jedi, there is no denying that Luke Skywalker was still the more powerful of the two. His lineage is an important aspect of this, of course – being the child of Anakin “The Chosen One” Skywalker certainly had a hand in Luke’s strong connection to the Force. However, everything that Luke was able to do after a few hours and days of training – the destruction of the Death Star, surviving a duel with Darth Vader, bringing his father back to the light, etc. – proved that Luke was A formidable Jedi in all the ways that matter.

Luke was the last Jedi, the galaxy’s most beloved hero, having learned from the mistakes of the Jedi’s past. He showed himself again and again, even in the division. Star Wars: The Last JediWhere he Force-projected himself across the galaxy, choosing to fight his nephew’s fire with love and understanding. He may have stumbled when he was forced into exile, but he came through when things changed. He was a true Jedi until the end.

Luke may be the more “strong” Jedi overall, but that doesn’t diminish the impact of Kanan’s legacy.. Kanan was also a model Jedi, and just like Luke, he sacrificed himself when it really mattered. He knew that Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, and Ezra Bridger still had a bigger part to play in the fight against the Empire, and he fought back with every bit of his strength to save their lives when an Imperial fuel tank exploded.

On a purely superficial level, Luke Skywalker Could have been stronger than Cannon JarrusBut in all honesty, they were very similar, and the Star Wars galaxy owes them both a great deal.

At this point, just like Luke when he projected himself from AHC-TO, Kanan is really open to the Force. He was so open, so connected, that he even regained his sight for a moment, giving him the opportunity to look at the People he loves, one last time.
