The amount of Primogems available in Genshin Impact 5.2 has reportedly been leaked, giving interested players a better sense of what they can expect in terms of rewards during HoYoverse’s action RPG’s next big patch. Version 5.2 is still a few weeks away as the game builds on content from Version 5.1, a patch that added new archon quests in Natlan and introduced Xilonen as an NPC and playable character. The release of Xilonen in Genshin Impact has been considered a game changer thanks to its powerful support capabilities that can make various types of team compositions much stronger.
Version 5.2 will introduce two new playable characters, Chasca and Ororon. Unlike version 5.1, however, the update has already been confirmed to have no new archon quests related to Natlan. On the other hand, there have been leaks indicating that three new areas in Pyro Nation will be added to the playable map, potentially doubling Natlan’s current size. Based on the leaks so far, players have predicted how many Primogems players will be able to obtain with version 5.2 content, and there may be more in the store than the amount of Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.1.
How many Primogems will you get with Genshin Impact 5.2
The update should last until 2025
Players will be able to access thousands of Primogems in version 5.2, according to an estimate made by the leaker known as Hiragara. The calculation was shared in a post marked “Speculation” about Reddit. As seen in the calculation, players will be able to obtain up to 17,355 Primogems in version 5.2which equates to about 108 banner wishes in the gacha system. This calculation takes into account F2P (free-to-play) Primogems obtained through various methods, as well as Primogems that come from paid sources such as Blessing of the Welkin Moon and the Battle Pass in Genshin Impact.
Most free Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.2 come from events, dailies, and exploration
Players can get up to 74 free wishes
According to the estimate provided by Hiragara, a total of 11,835 Primogems can be obtained for free, which translates into 74 wishes. The largest sum of these F2P Primogems appears to result from Daily Commissions, events, and exploration feats. As seen in the calculation, around 2,520 Primogems can be obtained by completing Daily Commissions over the duration of the patch – this takes into account the possibility that the update will last the normal six weeks and not be shorter or longer than usual. The leak considers that 2,540 Primogems will be acquired in the Genshin Impact 5.2.
The calculation also considers the three new leaked areas of the Natlan map from version 5.2. Through exploration in these areas, the leak estimates that around 1,300 Primogems can be acquired between discovering secret treasure chests and unlocking teleportation points, for example. These new areas should also come with new World Questsand the estimate speculates that 760 Primogems will be obtainable in new missions added through the update. The Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater final activities in Genshin Impact 5.2 should also provide 800 Primogems each, for a total of 1,600 Primogems if players are able to maximize their progress.
With the new content, the leak estimates that 300 Primogems will come in the form of new Achievements added with the patch. With four 5-star characters featured in banners during the patch, it is estimated that players will also be able to obtain 80 Primogems in character tests – 40 of which are available in Phase 1, while the final 40 are unlocked with the arrival of Phase 2 banners. Some of the estimated Primogems also appear to come from systems offered in the game. The calculation also considers 600 Primogems that compensate for the maintenance period.
Players can also get more Primogems in version 5.2 through promotional codes. The estimate also considers Intertwined Fates and Acquaint Fate that they can obtain from the monthly reset in Paimon’s store. This estimate of 11,835 F2P Primogems assumes players will do everything available in the patch. If players are unable to fully explore the new areas or beat the final floor of the Abyss, for example, they will receive fewer Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.2. Still, as mentioned previously, players can significantly increase their Primogem count using some of the game’s paid features.

Welkin Moon and Battle Pass increase Primogem earnings
As can be seen from the estimate, players who subscribe to the Welkin Moon Blessing can earn 3,780 Primogems plus an additional 420 Genesis Crystals. This takes from 11,835 Primogems to 16,035 Primogems. In terms of wishes, there is an increase from 74 wishes to 100 wishes in the gacha banners. Of course, players need to ensure they make their daily logins flawless, as this would result in fewer Primogems for each day lost. However, this is a huge increase in the number of wishes players can make or save for Natlan’s characters in Genshin Impact.
Beyond the Welkin Moon Blessing, players can also subscribe to the Battle Pass for a total of 1,320 Primogems. This translates to about eight banner wishes, meaning players who subscribe to both services can increase their total possible wish count from 100 to 108 wishes in version 5.2. Compared to version 5.1, which offered players around 97 wishes – both F2P and through paid features – players in version 5.2 will have a better chance of acquiring the 5-star characters from the banners in Genshin Impact 5.2.
It’s important to note that this is just an estimate based on leaks. As such, the exact number of Primogems may be incorrect or subject to change depending on how HoYoverse plans to release its content and whether the patch itself will actually last six weeks. However, it looks like players will receive a lot of rewards with the next patch, even if there are no new Archon Quests. This is the same patch that will present Genshin Impact on Xbox consoles, opening up a whole new community base, and rewards are a great way to attract new players.
