It only covers a short segment of Rosemary’s baby timeline
Although the two movies do not explicitly mention their timelines, it would be fair to assume that Terry learns the truth about the castaways’ true motives a few days, or, at most, a few weeks after Lily dies and the Woodhouses move in.. This would explain why she initially praises the castaways when she meets Rosemary and even seems quite happy when she meets her in the cellar’s laundry. However, within days of her second encounter with Rosemary in the basement, Terry seems to realize that the residents of the building are up to no good.
Since Rosemary’s pregnancy progresses unusually fast in the original book, it is hard not to believe that Rosemary babys timeline extends a few weeks further Apartment 7as.
