Warning: Spoilers for The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3, Episode 10, “The Gods of Guilt”
The Lincoln AdvocateCo-showrunner Ted Humphrey addresses how they will handle Harry Bosh’s absence in season 4 after the way the season 3 finale turned out. Bosch and the show’s titular attorney, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), are half-brothers. with The Lincoln Advocate The season 3 finale ends with Mickey being framed for a crime he didn’t commit, These events lead to the future season adaptation The law of innocenceWhere Bosch will help Mickey in his defense. Apart from The Lincoln AdvocateBosch (Titus Welliver) has his own franchise with Bosch And Bosch: Legacy.
Humphrey told TV Insider that despite the character’s involvement in the book, Bosch isNot a possibility“For Season 4So they will have to “Recall the relationship between the two.” With many books in the series, they have “Lots of different wells to draw from” And they’re looking at ways to work around his absence by combining”Two and even three different books“Or mixing characters around. Check out his comment below:
Well, the only thing I can say about this is that as we discussed earlier, unfortunately, Bosch is not a possibility for us. And at this point, obviously if we were ever going to be able to do that, we would have to somehow restore the relationship between the two of them. But that’s pie in the sky thinking anyway. Just like what we did in Season 3 with the character of Neil Bishop, which is, as you point out, Lankford in the books, Michael gave us in his books, and we expanded on the show this panoply of characters and situations . For Mickey and it gives us a lot of different wells to draw from.
And they do that, I noticed, also in Bosch – there are so many Bosch books. We only have, I think there are seven Lincoln Lawyer books now, but there are, I don’t know, 20 something Bosch books. And so they had so many books to work with that they had seasons where they combined two and even three different books into one season and they mixed characters around and Mickey Haller and the books became someone else. So there are always ways to do it.
Season 4 will be very different from the book
Despite crossovers in their storylines, Harry Bosch will not be on Mickey’s defense team to help his half-brother clear his name. Since Bosch’s involvement plays a crucial part in the events of The Torah of Innocence, His absence will be noticed. The showrunner’s comment Confirmed Bosch’s absence in season 4 And indicates that The show will have to be creative in its approach to find a workaround. It is also likely that The show would offer a reasonable explanation for Bosch’s absence.

His comment also suggests the key ways Season 4 will be different from the source material And the possibility for the time to Adapt multiple books from The Lincoln Advocate Series. With Harry Bosch being the detective to carry out the investigation, his absence also means that another character may have to fulfill his role in the storyline. The showrunner’s comment Adds uncertainty to the cast and plot of the upcoming season.
Our take on The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4
Bosch’s absence raises the stakes
with Bosch And Bosch: Legacy On Prime Video and Netflix behind The Lincoln AdvocateUnfortunately, Bosch will not be able to make an appearance in Mickey’s series due to the two shows being produced by competing studios. If Bosch helped Mickey, not only would he bring the half-brothers closer, but he would also make a valuable contribution to solving the mystery behind the murder.
Bosch’s shoes are hard to fill. Not being able to have him on the show also poses challenges for season 4 to live up to viewers’ expectations. on the other hand, Bosch’s absence also raises the stakes for Mickey Additional events in The Lincoln Advocate Season 3. Without his half-brother’s help, he would need to defend himself and solve a murder.
