Batman and Catwoman battle Bizarro in the jungle on the cover of Batman #151 by Salvador Larroca.

This is the first time Batman and Catwoman have been together since their major conflict. Fortunately, since they last met, Bruce’s mind has been cleared of the influence of Zur-En-Arr, and for the first time in months he is thinking clearly. It’s sad that it took so long, but by this point there’s some intense drama in the territory of Bruce and Selina’s relationship. Of course, Catwoman seems to draw the line at reviving any romance. but she and Batman are finally back on solid ground.

…after all, Bruce loves Selina with every fiber of his being.

It’s great that these two have finally resolved their differences because Batman will need Catwoman more than ever. Absolute power has arrived in the DC Universe and Amanda Waller is going crazy with power. The first issue showed Waller launching a coordinated attack on the superhumans of the DC Universe, and although Batman has not yet been officially apprehended, he is on his own. However, requests for the future Batman issues showed the Dark Knight engaging in battle with Waller and this Catwoman will help Batman.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that gives a hint of what lies beyond Absolute power. That being said, this issue makes it clear that despite everything that has happened between them, Batman and Catwoman will always be close allies. They can harm each other, sometimes they can be in opposite positions. But at the end of the day, Bruce loves Selina with every fiber of his being. He may have screwed up a little thanks to Zur-En-Arr, but Batman and Catwoman are finally taking their first steps towards creating something new.
